Ravensburger Super Mario Movie 2 300-Piece Jigsaw Puzzle with XXL Pieces
Product description
Made from cardboard, this Ravensburger jigsaw has a 300-piece format and a Super Mario Movie 2 theme. Its XXL pieces distinguish it from a standard-sized children’s puzzle, while the stated minimum age is 9 years.
The completed puzzle is listed as measuring 49.3L x 36.2W centimetres. It is a screen-free activity built around assembling a character-themed picture, with concentration, memory, pattern recognition and problem-solving among the skills its product details identify.
That gives it a clear place in a quiet afternoon or a shared puzzle session: there is a defined finish, but the child still has to work through the pieces to reach it. How much challenge will feel enjoyable depends on the child, but the 300-piece count offers more to work through than a very simple starter puzzle.
Getting the most from it
The Super Mario subject gives children who recognise the character a familiar image to work towards. A practical approach is to set out the pieces where they can be sorted and assembled comfortably, then take the puzzle in stages rather than expecting it to be finished in one sitting. The listed dimensions also give a useful indication of the space the completed picture needs.
You’ll like it if you’re choosing a character-themed activity for a child aged 9 or over who is ready for a longer jigsaw. It can also suit a family puzzle session, with different people helping to sort pieces or build sections. Unlike a simpler puzzle with fewer pieces, this one gives more scope for sustained concentration, the trade-off is that it asks for more patience.

Why it’s worth it
The appeal here is the combination of a recognisable Super Mario theme and a 300-piece challenge, rather than a broad set of accessories or add-ons. The listed educational objectives include concentration, memory, pattern recognition, problem solving and spatial awareness, which makes it a purposeful choice for time away from a screen as well as a leisure activity.
Customer feedback is positive about the puzzle’s quality and challenge. Buyers describe the difficulty as engaging for children, with one view that it keeps them interested without making the task feel overwhelming. Those are individual impressions rather than a guarantee that every child will find the level just right. Not the best choice if you need a puzzle for a child below the stated minimum age, or if you’re specifically looking for a very quick, low-piece-count activity.

Buying verdict
Choose this Ravensburger if a Super Mario theme, XXL pieces and a 300-piece format suit the child and the time you have set aside. Its listed age guidance makes it more suitable for an older child than for someone starting with their first, simpler puzzle. For a child who enjoys working towards a larger picture, it offers a clear activity with a defined finish, for a younger child or a shorter task, a puzzle with fewer pieces would be a better fit.
