PLAYMOBIL 72162 Country Farmhouse with Balcony, Kitchen and Animal Shelter
Product description
Openable doors, an upstairs balcony and a separate animal area give this PLAYMOBIL farmhouse several settings for everyday country role-play. Children can move between cooking, family life and caring for the animals. The set is intended for children aged 4 and over, so it is not suitable for younger children according to the safety warning.
Why it’s worth it
The appeal here is the range of scenes in one playset. The ground floor has a country kitchen with a cooker, sink and oven, alongside a dining table and chairs. Upstairs, a double bed and a child’s bed make room for family stories, while the balcony and doors that open add ways to change how the house is used during play.
Outside, the shelter is home to a goat, a female goat and a kid. A cat, mice, birds and a nest add more animal-care possibilities. Accessories such as tools, straw bales, food, crockery and furniture help children build different routines rather than returning to one simple scene. It makes sense if the aim is imaginative play that combines a home and farm setting, a smaller set focused on just one activity would offer a more limited range of scenarios.
The essentials
PLAYMOBIL identifies the product as model 72162 in its Country range. It is a green plastic farmhouse, with role play listed as its educational objective. The product information gives dimensions of 38.5 x 28.4 x 9.4 centimetres. A sticker sheet is included so the house can be customised, and the set is described as combinable with tractors and other Country sets.
The mix of rooms, animals and accessories suits play built around familiar tasks: preparing food, sitting down to eat, settling the family upstairs or looking after the goats. The supplied details do not state how much floor space the assembled house needs, so the listed dimensions are useful when deciding where to store or set it up. It might not be a great match if the child is under four, as the safety warning specifies an age of 4+.
Tips for day-to-day use
The different areas make it easy to organise play around a simple sequence, such as gathering food, preparing a meal and then tending to the animals. The sticker sheet gives children a chance to personalise the farmhouse, while the accessories provide props for switching between household and farm routines. If you already have tractors or other sets from the Country range, the stated compatibility may help build a broader play environment, those additional sets are not described as included here.

Is it worth it?
Choose this farmhouse if varied domestic and animal-care role-play matters more than a compact set built around a single scene. Its kitchen, sleeping area, balcony and outdoor shelter offer several linked ways to play, with accessories to support the details. The age guidance is the clearest reason to look elsewhere: this set is intended for children aged 4 and over.
