Our Generation OG Country House Dollhouse Playset with Animal Sounds, 60 Pieces

A child who wants a home base for doll stories has different needs from one mainly looking for a small set of loose accessories. The Our Generation OG Country House brings rooms, play food and animal sounds together in one open-style playset.

Its focus is hands-on pretend play: children can arrange the kitchen items, welcome dolls through the opening door and turn the bench into a bed. Buttons play kitten and rooster sounds, adding another cue for story-making.

It is designed for 18-inch dolls and includes small parts, so the age guidance of 3 years and older matters. Dolls are sold separately, the house and accessories are the focus here.

Quick overview

This 60-piece set combines a country-style house with kitchen and food accessories, decorative details and animal sounds. The listed contents include a bench cushion and pillow, plaid curtains with rods, a home sign, a vase, flowers and a basket, alongside 30+ kitchen items and 15+ play food accessories. The kitchen has an opening mini fridge and stove, plus shelves, counter space and hooks for displaying accessories.

For a child who enjoys setting up scenes as much as acting them out, the mix gives several ways to begin: prepare a pretend meal, arrange the house or settle a doll down on the fold-out bed. Its multicoloured, rustic theme gives the playset a distinct country-home look. The listed materials are plastic, metal and fabric, and the assembled dimensions are 69.2 x 40.6 x 53.3 centimetres.

Compatibility is described as working with most 18-inch dolls, dollhouse furniture and accessories. That makes it more suited to extending an existing doll collection than buying a complete doll-and-house starter set. It suits you if the appeal is a furnished setting with varied props and sounds, rather than a single accessory for one kind of scene.

Tips for day-to-day use

The open-style layout makes the different areas accessible during play. Children can use the kitchen pieces to set up a meal, then move the story to the bench, which converts into a pull-out bed. The opening door and the included home details provide simple prompts for arrivals, visits and everyday routines without needing a fixed storyline.

The playset is listed for ages 3 years and older, with small parts noted in the product information. For younger children, that age guidance is an important part of deciding whether it is suitable. The dolls themselves are not included, so plan around dolls already owned or consider that separately.

Usage tips

For a more manageable play session, begin with one activity, such as using the kitchen and play food, and bring in the other accessories as the story develops. The curtains, flowers, basket and other decorative pieces can help children arrange the space, while the kitten and rooster sounds offer extra prompts for a country-house scene.

At 69.2 x 40.6 x 53.3 centimetres when assembled, it needs a place to set up and use. If the main priority is a compact accessory that can be put away after each short game, this larger furnished playset may not match that preference. Its advantage is having the house, furniture features and play pieces gathered into one setting.

Is it worth it?

The Country House is most compelling for children who enjoy open-ended doll play and want more than a bare room or a few standalone props. The combination of kitchen accessories, play food, a convertible bench and animal sounds gives different routes into imaginative play, while compatibility with most 18-inch dolls can help it fit into an existing collection.

Not the best choice if you need the doll included: the product information says dolls are sold separately. It is also worth considering the age guidance and the space needed for the assembled house before choosing it. If those points suit your situation, the appeal is a themed play environment that supports cooking, decorating and bedtime stories in the same set.
