Steiff Soft Cuddly Friends Ockto Octopus 063770, 27 cm Turquoise Plush Toy
Product description
For a child looking for a soft toy to cuddle and play with, Steiff’s Ockto combines a plush octopus shape with tentacles made for handling.
At 27 cm, it is sized to come along on everyday outings or sit beside a child at bedtime. Its turquoise plush gives it a bright, recognisable look.
The detail that sets it apart from a plain soft toy is in the tentacles: their elastic inserts make them spring back when pulled and released. How much does that add to play? It gives little hands something tactile to explore, while leaving room for imaginative underwater adventures.
Everyday use
Ockto is presented as both a cuddly companion and a playmate, so it suits quiet moments as well as make-believe play. The soft, curled tentacles offer a different feel from the simple limbs of a basic teddy, and the spring-back action adds a small interactive element without making the toy dependent on batteries or assembly. No assembly is required.
The black eyes and smiling mouth are embroidered, and an integrated granulate bag helps the head keep its shape. The filling is described as lightly stuffed synthetic material. These details give a prospective buyer a clearer idea of the toy’s texture and construction than the octopus design alone. It makes sense if you want a soft animal toy that offers something to handle as well as something to cuddle.
The product is described as washable, but no washing method or care instructions are provided. It might not be a great match if you need confirmed washing guidance before choosing a toy, the listing does not specify how to clean it.

Why it makes sense
Ockto’s appeal is its mix of a familiar cuddly-toy role and a simple tactile feature. The tentacles spring back when pulled and released, which gives a child an extra way to interact with it during play. That makes it a more characterful choice than a plain plush toy, while keeping the focus on soft fabric and imaginative play rather than complex functions.
For a practical scenario, it could join a child’s bedtime routine and then become part of an underwater story the next day. Its 27 cm size is stated as suitable for everyday companionship, though the product details do not give a weight or further measurements. The turquoise colour and octopus shape are also worth considering if you are choosing a toy to match a particular child’s tastes or an existing collection.
Final verdict
Ockto is worth considering when the aim is a soft octopus toy with embroidered features and tentacles that add a little movement to play. The listing gives useful details about its size, materials and construction, but not specific washing instructions. Choose it for its tactile design and cuddly role, if care requirements are central to your decision, seek washing guidance before settling on it.
