LEGO Wicked Glinda’s Wedding Day 75688 Building Set, 476 Pieces
Product description
The posable butterfly figures open to reveal a wedding scene, giving this LEGO Wicked set a play feature as well as a colourful display format. With 476 pieces, it offers a building activity before the role-play begins. It is designed for children aged 8 and over. Small parts mean it is not suitable for children under 3.
Usage tips
Build the butterflies and wedding scene first, then use the mini dolls and accessories to act out the story or make up a different one. The set includes a wedding cake, a heart-shaped invitation and a bouquet, so there are details to work into imaginative play. Glinda has interchangeable faces, which can help children change the mood of the scene without needing extra pieces.
When play is finished, the butterflies can be brought together and displayed as colourful bedroom or desk décor. That makes this a more flexible choice than a set intended only for active play, though the display feature is still part of a toy built around a recognisable Wicked scene. The LEGO Builder app offers 3D model views, zoom and rotate controls, and progress tracking as building support.

Pros
The main appeal is the combination of a buildable scene and a playset that can be closed up for display. The butterflies are more than decoration: they open to show the wedding setting, while the included figures and accessories give children a starting point for storytelling. The set is also compatible with other LEGO Wicked sets, according to the product information, which may matter to children already building a collection.
It’s a good fit if the child enjoys both assembling models and inventing character-led stories, or if a Wicked fan would appreciate a themed display piece after play. Compared with a simpler figure-only toy, this set adds a substantial build, compared with a larger, more demanding construction project, its 476 pieces keep the focus on one compact scene. You may want to skip it if the recipient is too young for small parts or is looking for a building set without a film-inspired role-play theme.
Practical questions
What can children do with the butterflies? They can open the two posable figures to reveal the wedding scene, then close them again for display when play is over.
Which characters and accessories are included? The set includes 2 mini dolls, 2 animal figures, a wedding cake, a heart-shaped invitation, a bouquet and other accessories. Glinda’s face can be changed.
Is it suitable for younger children? It is intended for ages 8 and over and contains small parts, so it is not suitable for children under 3.
Buying verdict
This set makes most sense for a child who will enjoy the building stage as much as the Wicked-inspired play and display options. Its strongest distinction is the opening butterfly scene, rather than a large number of separate builds or a general-purpose construction theme. The age guidance and small-parts warning are worth bearing in mind when choosing it as a gift, depending on how you use it, the finished butterflies can serve as part of the play or as a colourful reminder of the story.
