The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It Blu-ray, English, 1h 52m

For horror and mystery fans drawn to supernatural investigations, The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It brings Ed and Lorraine Warren into a case that connects a child’s possession with a murder trial. This English-language Blu-ray presents the film as a physical copy for a planned movie night or a place in a collection of suspense films.

The feature runs for 1 hour and 52 minutes on one disc, making it easy to plan a full-length viewing around its blend of horror, mystery and suspense.

What matters most

The story follows Ed and Lorraine Warren as they try to help Arne Johnson, who is accused of murdering his landlord after an exorcism. His defence claims demonic possession, taking the Warrens beyond an investigation focused solely on paranormal events and into a criminal case. The plot begins with a fight for a young boy’s soul, then broadens into a search for the forces behind the accusation.

That combination gives the film a different focus from a horror story built only around a haunting: the supernatural mystery is tied to the question of Arne’s innocence. What will the Warrens uncover as they pursue the case? The investigation gives the film a clear thread for viewers who enjoy suspense alongside its occult elements.

The cast includes Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson as Lorraine and Ed Warren, with Ruairi O’Connor and Sarah Catherine Hook also among the performers. Michael Chaves directs. Buyers commenting on the film describe it as entertaining and engaging, while reactions to how frightening it is vary, the suspense and paranormal subject matter are central to its appeal.

Best use cases

This Blu-ray suits a horror-focused evening when you want a feature-length story with both a supernatural investigation and a murder-case mystery. Its English-language presentation and 1-hour-and-52-minute runtime make the viewing format and time commitment straightforward to plan. The film also fits a collection centred on the Warren cases, paranormal stories or horror and thriller titles.

Compared with choosing a digital-only viewing format, a Blu-ray gives you a physical disc to keep with your movie collection. It’s a practical fit for viewers who prefer selecting a disc for movie night and revisiting a particular title from their shelf.

Practical tips

Use a Blu-ray player to watch the disc, and set aside time for the full feature. The single-disc format keeps the physical edition simple to store with other films, while the mystery-driven plot offers a natural choice for a suspense double feature or a horror collection viewing. Its English-language format is also useful to know when choosing a title for a group with a shared preference for English audio.

The story’s themes include demonic possession, exorcism and murder, so it is best suited to viewers looking for supernatural horror rather than a light mystery. Those who enjoy the Warren characters can follow their efforts to help the accused while confronting a threat linked to the case.

Is it worth it?

Choose this edition if you want The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It as a physical Blu-ray, with Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson returning as the Warrens in a mystery shaped by possession and a murder defence. Its one-disc format, English presentation and focused feature-length story make it a fitting addition for horror fans who like paranormal investigations with a suspense-driven case at the centre.
