Logitech 910-007113 M240 Silent Bluetooth Mouse, Graphite, Compact

For anyone who needs a quieter mouse for shared workspaces, study areas or everyday computer use, the Logitech M240 Silent offers Bluetooth connection and reduced click noise in a compact, cordless design. It pairs without a USB receiver, keeping a laptop’s ports free and making the mouse easy to carry between home, work and class.

Its ambidextrous shape suits either hand, while three buttons and optical movement detection provide a straightforward setup for daily tasks. Graphite gives the mouse a clean, understated look.

How to use it

Pair the M240 Silent with a compatible device over Bluetooth, then use it for navigation, documents, browsing and other everyday computer tasks. There’s no receiver to plug in, so the connection works without taking up a USB port. Its compact size makes it practical to pack with a laptop, and the ambidextrous design accommodates left- or right-handed use.

The mouse works with Windows, macOS, ChromeOS, Linux, Android and iPadOS. A listed wireless range of up to 10 m gives you room to position it comfortably at your workstation. Its three-button layout keeps common pointing and clicking simple, without adding customizable controls to configure.

Benefits

Quiet clicks help reduce the sound of routine computer use, which can make a difference when working near others or concentrating in a quiet setting. The manufacturer describes the click sound as reduced by 90% while retaining the same click feel. Buyer feedback also frequently notes quiet operation, easy Bluetooth pairing and convenience for everyday use.

Battery life is rated for up to 18 months, with an auto-sleep feature designed to extend time between battery changes. The included AAA battery means the mouse is ready for use without a separate battery purchase. At 73.8 g, it is lightweight to carry, and its compact form is suited to a laptop bag or a less cluttered desk.

For buyers choosing between a receiver-based mouse and a Bluetooth model, the M240 Silent takes the receiver-free route: connect directly over Bluetooth and leave the USB port available for other devices. Its Graphite plastic enclosure also uses 48% certified post-consumer recycled plastic, a useful material detail for shoppers comparing finishes and construction.

What to know

The M240 Silent is a wireless optical mouse with a maximum sensitivity of 1000 DPI. Its three buttons are non-customizable, making it a simple fit for standard navigation rather than a setup built around programmable controls. The Graphite model measures 39L x 60W millimetres, and the included components are the mouse, one AAA battery and user documentation.

Buyer impressions are positive about pairing, quiet use, appearance and day-to-day convenience. Feedback is more mixed on the compact size and click responsiveness, which can come down to hand preference and individual feel. The compact format is especially handy when portability matters, those who prefer a larger mouse may favour a full-size design instead.

Buying verdict

Choose the Logitech M240 Silent when a receiver-free Bluetooth connection, quiet clicks and a portable, ambidextrous design are the priorities. Its 18-month battery-life rating and compatibility across common computer and mobile operating systems make it well suited to everyday laptop use, study and shared work areas.
