Logitech M705 Marathon Full-Size Wireless Mouse, 2.4 GHz with Hyper-Fast Scrolling
Product description
For right-handed users who want a full-size wireless mouse for everyday computer work, the Logitech M705 Marathon combines a sculpted shape with a responsive laser sensor. Need to move through long documents without repeated wheel turns? Its hyper-fast metal scroll wheel makes that practical. Five customizable buttons keep frequently used controls close at hand.
Everyday use
The M705 is shaped for the right hand, guiding it into a naturally comfortable position while keeping its controls within reach. Two thumb buttons let you move quickly between web pages, and the five customizable buttons make it easier to tailor mouse controls to the way you work. It’s a useful setup for everyday browsing, document work and navigating between tasks.
When a page or document is long, a single spin of the nearly frictionless metal wheel can carry you through a substantial stretch of content. That makes scrolling feel different from a standard wheel that advances in smaller steps, particularly when you’re moving through lengthy web pages or files. For precise cursor control, laser-grade tracking is designed to work smoothly on surfaces such as polished or wood-grain tables, which can challenge standard optical mice.
The wireless connection uses a small Logitech Unifying receiver that can stay plugged into a laptop as you move between locations. Compatible Logitech wireless mice and keyboards can also be added to the same receiver, helping keep a setup organized around one small connection point. The receiver is supplied inside or with the mouse.

Why it’s worth it
The M705 brings together features that suit a desk routine with frequent browsing and longer stretches of computer work. Its fast-scrolling wheel helps cover long pages with fewer turns, while the thumb buttons provide quick access to web-page navigation. The sculpted right-hand design and customizable controls put comfort and everyday actions at the centre of the experience.
It also offers a practical alternative to a basic wireless mouse with a standard scroll wheel and optical tracking. The M705 adds laser tracking for polished or wood-grain surfaces, along with a receiver designed to remain in a laptop during everyday movement. Logitech states that its lower power use allows up to three full years between battery changes, so battery changes can be less frequent in typical use.
Should you buy it?
Choose the M705 if you want a full-size mouse with a right-hand shape, quick navigation controls and a scroll wheel suited to long documents and web pages. Its laser tracking and compact Unifying receiver make it a considered fit for a home or work desk, while the receiver’s ability to stay connected supports moving a laptop between work areas. For daily browsing and productivity, its combination of fast scrolling, customizable buttons and extended time between battery changes gives you useful control without adding complexity to the routine.
