Jaws: The Revenge – 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray (Bilingual)

HDR10 brings brighter highlights and deeper colour to this shark thriller, while the two-disc edition gives you both 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray formats for a home viewing collection. Jaws: The Revenge follows Ellen Brody as a new attack draws her family back into danger.

At 1 hour and 31 minutes, it makes a focused pick for a movie night built around suspense, a returning character and a determined showdown.

Worth noting

This edition pairs the film’s 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray presentations across two discs. HDR10 is included, and the listed English audio options are DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 and Dolby Atmos. The additional features include an alternate ending and the theatrical trailer, offering a little more to explore after the main feature.

The story centres on Ellen Brody, now widowed, after a shark attack takes the life of her son. She travels to the Bahamas to be with her other son, a marine biologist, and his family. When her granddaughter is attacked by a great white shark, Ellen sets out to confront the threat. Lorraine Gary reprises her role, with Michael Caine and Lance Guest among the cast.

Viewers sharing feedback often describe the film as entertaining and engaging, with some appreciating its place as a closing chapter in the series. Picture quality also receives positive comments. These are personal impressions, while the concrete draw here is the film’s two-format presentation and included bonus material.

How it fits

This is a specific Jaws sequel rather than a collection of multiple films, making it a straightforward choice for viewers filling a gap in a series shelf or seeking this instalment in a physical format. Its mix of family drama, mystery and suspense gives the shark story a personal focus: Ellen’s grief and her determination to protect the family around her sit alongside the danger at sea.

For a movie night, the 91-minute runtime keeps the feature to a manageable sitting. The theatrical trailer offers a quick way to revisit the film’s original promotional material, while the alternate ending adds a separate point of interest for fans who want to spend more time with this instalment.

Tips for day-to-day use

Choose the 4K Ultra HD or Blu-ray disc according to the format you want to watch, then keep the two-disc set with the rest of your Jaws films for easy access. The listed English audio options provide a choice between DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 and Dolby Atmos, and HDR10 is part of the feature presentation. If you prefer to keep a movie night centred on the story, the main feature runs for 1 hour and 31 minutes, the trailer and alternate ending are there when you want a little extra.

Final verdict

For fans of the series and collectors of physical films, this edition brings Jaws: The Revenge together with both 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray discs, HDR10, two listed English audio formats and two bonus features. It suits a focused rewatch of Ellen Brody’s story, or a collection that calls for this particular chapter in a choice of physical formats.
