Duran Duran A Hollywood High: Live in Los Angeles Blu-ray
Product description
For Duran Duran fans looking for a concert they can watch as well as hear, A Hollywood High: Live in Los Angeles brings the band’s performance to Blu-ray. Filmed on a rooftop at The Aster in Los Angeles, it pairs the concert with views of the city skyline and the Capitol Records building, giving this release a distinct sense of place.
The presentation runs for 1 hour and 15 minutes, making it a focused choice for a concert night at home or a Duran Duran collection.
Who it’s for
This Blu-ray suits listeners who want to revisit Duran Duran through a filmed live performance rather than an audio-only release. The rooftop setting makes the visual backdrop part of the concert, while the Los Angeles skyline and Capitol Records building offer a strong connection to the location. It also makes sense for collectors seeking a physical copy of this particular performance.
The concert is in English and is listed in the rock genre. Its single-disc format keeps the release centred on the live show, rather than asking you to choose between several discs or formats.
Why it makes sense
A live album can bring the music along without the concert visuals, this release gives you the performance and its setting together. The rooftop venue at The Aster creates a different backdrop from a conventional indoor stage, and the Los Angeles landmarks help establish where the show was filmed. That visual context gives fans another way to enjoy the band’s music, whether they’re settling in for a full concert or revisiting a favourite era of the group.
Buyer feedback highlights the concert footage and audio, with customers describing the show positively. These impressions can help set expectations for the kind of viewing experience fans value, while the documented details make the format and runtime straightforward to assess.

The NTSC Blu-ray format is central to choosing this edition: match the disc format to a Blu-ray player and display setup that can play it. The physical disc is a practical fit for fans who prefer a tangible addition to a music or film collection over a purely digital way to revisit a show.
When it makes sense
Choose this release when the appeal is seeing Duran Duran perform in a memorable Los Angeles setting, not simply adding another recording of the songs. It works for a dedicated concert viewing at home, or as a thoughtful addition to a fan’s collection of the band’s live material. The rooftop footage gives the performance a visual identity, while the single Blu-ray keeps the experience direct: put on the concert and enjoy the band against the city backdrop. For viewers drawn to live music and a distinctive venue, this edition brings both together in one focused release.
