Carlito's Way 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray with HDR10+ and Bonus Features

For a movie night built around a tense crime story, Carlito's Way brings Brian De Palma's thriller home in a 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray edition. Al Pacino stars as Carlito Brigante, a former drug kingpin trying to leave his past behind. Choose this set for both formats and a selection of bonus features, rather than a movie-only release. The presentation also features HDR10+.

Getting the most from it

Carlito's attempt to start over puts him at odds with the loyalties and code of honour that still shape his life. Sean Penn plays his high-powered attorney, while John Leguizamo and Luis Guzmán are also among the cast. That mix of personal stakes and action gives the film a strong fit for viewers looking for a character-led crime thriller with an intense underworld setting.

The two-format edition suits a home collection where both 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray releases have a place. HDR10+ is included, described as bringing brighter, deeper and more lifelike colour to the presentation. The feature-length film runs 2 hours and 24 minutes, making it a substantial choice for a dedicated evening viewing. The listed language is English.

Benefits

The story centres on a clear conflict: Carlito vows to go straight after prison, but misguided loyalties and an old code of honour complicate his plans. That premise gives the action a personal dimension, while De Palma's direction and Pacino's lead performance keep the focus on Carlito's struggle. It is a compelling fit for viewers who want more than a succession of action scenes and enjoy crime dramas shaped by character and consequence.

The included extras offer more ways to explore the film after the main feature. They include deleted scenes, The Making of Carlito's Way, De Palma on Carlito's Way, an original promotional featurette and the theatrical trailer. A further Brian De Palma on Carlito's Way feature is also listed. Together, these provide a mix of production context, additional footage and promotional material for viewers interested in the film's making as well as its story.

The essentials

Carlito's Way is directed by Brian De Palma and stars Al Pacino, with Sean Penn, John Leguizamo and Luis Guzmán among the supporting cast. It is presented on 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray, with HDR10+ noted for the 4K presentation. The runtime is 2 hours and 24 minutes, and the listed content rating is ages 18 and over. Its action and crime-thriller focus makes it a natural choice for an adult movie night or for adding a De Palma title to a physical film collection.

When it makes sense

Choose this edition when you want Carlito's Way as a feature film and also value extras that add context around its production. Compared with a release focused only on the main feature, the deleted scenes, making-of material, director features and trailer give you more to revisit. It brings together Pacino's portrayal of Carlito, De Palma's direction, HDR10+ and both 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray formats in one movie release—well suited to viewers drawn to character-driven crime stories and collectors looking to keep this thriller on their shelf.
