Manimal: The Complete Series 35225496 DVD Set, NTSC, 3 Discs
Product description
For viewers looking to revisit a distinctive blend of crime drama and science fiction, Manimal: The Complete Series brings Dr. Jonathan Chase’s unusual ability to the centre of a New York Police Department crime-solving team. This DVD collection gathers the series in one set, making it a straightforward choice for a rewatch or for adding a cult television title to a physical media shelf.
Chase works alongside NYPD detective Brooke McKenzie and former intelligence officer Tyrone Earl. The result is a crime-focused story with a supernatural twist, led by Simon MacCorkindale, Melody Anderson and Michael D. Roberts.
Where it shines
The series stands apart from a conventional police drama through Chase’s ability to transform into any animal. That premise gives the investigations a science-fiction and fantasy element while keeping the team’s work on major crimes at the heart of the story. It’s a fitting pick for viewers who enjoy older genre television, memorable high-concept premises and stories where an unusual ability becomes part of the investigative approach.
Having the complete series together also makes it easy to return to the show as a single collection rather than seeking out individual instalments. The listed runtime is seven hours, giving fans a substantial rewatch and making the set a natural fit alongside other classic TV series on DVD. Buyers often describe the show as entertaining and nostalgic, while comments on video quality are mixed and some report playback problems. Those perspectives are useful context when choosing a physical edition of a series they remember or want to discover.
