Staples Corrugated File Boxes, Letter/Legal, Lift-Off Lid, 10-Pack

For filing paperwork after a project wraps up, these Staples corrugated file boxes keep letter- and legal-size documents together in a covered, stackable format. A pack of 10 gives offices and home workspaces a practical way to sort files by department, year, or project.

Each box is made of recycled corrugated cardboard and comes in white and black. Two cutout handles make it easier to lift and move a box when you need to retrieve stored files.

These are basic-duty boxes intended for items that are accessed or moved infrequently. They suit a different need than an everyday desktop organizer: use them to group and store records, rather than keeping frequently handled papers at your fingertips.

Getting the most from it

Sort papers into a box by a clear category, such as a completed project or a specific filing period, then use the preprinted write-in area to identify the contents. That label makes it easier to distinguish boxes when several are stored together. The lift-off lid provides access from above and helps deter dust and other debris from accumulating around stored documents.

The rectangular shape and stackable design make it easier to arrange a group of boxes on shelving or in a storage area. For a practical setup, keep active paperwork in a desk file and move records you consult less often into these boxes. This separates everyday work from longer-term document storage without mixing the two.

Usage tips

Use the cutout handles to lift and transport a box, and keep its contents organized around the label so you can identify the right file group at a glance. The lid lifts off for access, which is useful when you need to open a box, retrieve a document, and return it to storage. The stated stacking capacity also supports making use of vertical storage when arranging filled boxes.

Customer feedback often highlights the boxes’ usefulness for papers and office materials, along with ease of assembly. Experiences with the lids are mixed, so allow for individual differences in how securely they stay in place when choosing how to handle or store a box.

When it makes sense

This 10-pack is a useful fit for offices, archives, and home workspaces that need a straightforward way to group letter- and legal-size records. The recycled corrugated construction, lift-off lid, handles, and write-in labeling area each serve a clear part of the storage task: containing documents, identifying them, and moving a box when access is needed. Choose this format for organized, stackable storage of paperwork used occasionally, while keeping frequently referenced files in a more immediately accessible organizer.
