Staples Triple Wall Heavy Duty File Boxes, Letter/Legal, 12/Carton

Some records need a compact place for documents, busy storage areas need boxes that can be accessed and moved regularly. These Staples heavy-duty file boxes are designed for frequent use and accommodate both letter- and legal-size documents.

The 12-box carton suits bulk filing needs at home or in the office. A lift-off lid gives direct access to stored contents and helps deter dust and debris during storage.

Choose these boxes when flexible document sizing and sturdy, stackable storage matter more than a dedicated setup for just one paper size.

Quick sizing guide

Each box accommodates letter- and legal-size documents, making it useful when a filing system includes both standard pages and larger legal documents. That flexibility can help keep related records together instead of separating them by paper size. The carton contains 12 boxes, so it can support a shared filing area, a records room, or several storage locations around a workplace.

For example, an office organizing active project files alongside legal-size paperwork can use the boxes to group records while keeping them accessible. The lift-off lid makes it straightforward to reach the contents when files are needed again, while helping keep dust and other debris from accumulating during storage.

Why it makes sense

These are heavy-duty boxes intended for items that will be used, accessed, and moved frequently—not just paperwork set aside for long-term storage. The product details state that a filled box can have up to 1,500 pounds stacked on top, which is useful when organizing filled boxes in a vertical storage area. Their letter/legal format also suits mixed filing needs, while a 12-box carton provides multiple containers for sorting records by project, department, or retention period.

Buyers commonly highlight the boxes’ sturdiness and ease of assembly, and appreciate them for organizing papers and office materials. Feedback on how well the lids stay in place is mixed, so the lid’s lift-off access is the key practical feature to consider when handling stored contents.

If you’re choosing between single-purpose filing for one paper size and a flexible bulk-storage setup, this format is made to accommodate both letter and legal documents in the same box style.
