Oterri AM03118 File Organizer, Foldable Black Linen Box for Letter and Legal Files

Measuring 15.7"L x 12"W x 10.83"H, the Oterri AM03118 file organizer gives hanging files a dedicated place in a home office or workspace. Its black linen finish brings a more finished look than a basic open tray, while the flip-top lid helps keep stored papers contained between uses.

Clear sliding bars let file folders move across the box, making it easier to sort and retrieve paperwork. When the organizer is not in use, it folds down for storage.

Quick overview

This rectangular storage box has one compartment and is designed for letter- and legal-size hanging files. The linen material and modern, solid black appearance suit a desk area, shelf, or shared household space. A flip-top lid keeps the contents covered, and the clear sliding bars provide a guided track for folders as you browse through documents. The box arrives ready to use without assembly.

For everyday paperwork, the format offers a middle ground between an open desktop inbox and a larger filing cabinet: it keeps a group of documents together in one portable box without taking over the room. Use it for bills, mail, work papers, or records you want to keep close at hand. The single compartment also works for items such as books, clothing, and toys, as well as files.

Customers often appreciate the box’s sturdy feel and decorative appearance, and many say it works well with hanging files. Feedback on the lid fit is mixed, so the lid’s alignment may not be consistent for every buyer.

Everyday use

Sort folders by topic, project, or time period, then slide them along the clear bars to find the section you need. This setup is useful for keeping incoming mail separate from reference papers or arranging household records in one place. The covered design gives stored documents a neater appearance when the box sits on a shelf or beside a desk.

The organizer is foldable, so it can be collapsed for storage when it is not holding files. Its black color and linen finish also make it easy to place in a home office or living area where a conventional metal file cabinet might feel out of place.

Who it’s for

Choose this file box if you want a compact way to organize letter- or legal-size hanging files at home or in an office. It is also suited to anyone who needs one versatile container for papers and everyday items such as books, clothing, or toys. It’s a great fit if you prefer a lidded, fabric-covered organizer that can be folded away between filing tasks.

When it makes sense
