Puemin AS12-V009 Self-Cleaning Litter Box with Low Entry, Open Top and 8L Bin
Product description
Choosing an automatic litter box can mean prioritizing connected features or keeping daily operation straightforward. The Puemin AS12-V009 takes the app-free approach: its open-top design, low entry and supportive step make access easier for cats weighing 3–17 lb, while automatic cleaning collects waste in an 8L bin.
Seven pairs of infrared sensors detect a cat during a cleaning cycle and pause it when the cat enters. Three buttons keep operation simple, with no Wi-Fi, app or camera required. For the automatic cleaning function, use bentonite or compatible mineral clumping litter, this box is not suitable for tofu litter.

Everyday use
The automatic system separates waste clumps and stores them in the waste bin, reducing the need to scoop after each use. The 8L capacity gives collected waste a dedicated place until it is time to empty the bin. Buyers have praised the self-cleaning function and the convenience of the step, and some also mention the bin’s size and odor management as welcome parts of everyday use.
The low entrance, open top and supportive step are designed to make getting in and out easier for cats in the stated weight range. The sensor-based pause adds a practical safety measure during cleaning: if a cat enters while a cycle is running, the system pauses. After setup, plug the unit in and use its three buttons to manage cleaning. If you prefer simple controls over a connected setup, wouldn’t app-free operation suit a more hands-on household routine?
For a typical day, a cat can access the open-top box, while clumping litter supports the automatic separation of waste. Choosing this model means focusing on easy access and automatic waste collection rather than app-based control. Use the compatible litter type to support the cleaning process, and empty the bin as needed.
In the box
The listed included component is the self-cleaning litter box. Its open-top format and integrated step are part of the design, so the entry area is ready to use as part of the unit. Place the box where your cat can reach it, then plug it in after setup and operate it with the three-button control.
Should you buy it?
The Puemin AS12-V009 suits cat owners looking for automatic clump separation, a substantial 8L waste bin and accessible entry in one app-free unit. Its infrared sensors pause cleaning when a cat enters, while the low step and open top support straightforward access for cats weighing 3–17 lb. If those are the priorities for your litter area—and you use bentonite or compatible mineral clumping litter—its design brings daily waste collection and simple controls together.
