PAWSCRAT DS-4 4-Step Pet Stairs, 19.6-Inch Soft Foam with Non-Slip Bottom

At 19.6 inches high, the PAWSCRAT DS-4 gives small dogs and cats a set of four steps for reaching beds and sofas. Its 30D soft foam construction and non-slip bottom are designed to make everyday climbing more manageable.

The polyester cover is removable and washable, so you can freshen the stairs as part of your regular pet-care routine. The light gray finish also fits naturally into many living spaces.

Would a gradual set of steps make a favorite resting spot easier for your pet to reach? This design offers an alternative to lifting a small pet onto furniture or using a ramp.

Quick overview

Measuring 28.5 inches deep, 15.7 inches wide, and 19.6 inches high, these stairs provide four levels of access to elevated furniture. They’re intended for small dogs and cats, and can be placed beside a high bed or sofa where your pet already likes to rest. The soft foam steps offer a cushioned surface, while the non-slip bottom helps keep the stairs in place during use.

Buyers often describe the stairs as soft, functional, and straightforward for small pets to use. Some also appreciate their appearance and stability. Feedback about fitting the cover is mixed, so take care when positioning it during setup.

Tips for day-to-day use

Place the stairs on the floor next to the furniture your pet needs to reach, with the top step close to the edge. Let your pet approach and use the steps at its own pace. Their four-step layout and gradual incline provide a dedicated route up and down, rather than requiring a small pet to jump directly onto a tall bed or couch.

The stairs arrive compressed and require no assembly. After unpacking, allow 24 to 48 hours for them to expand fully and for any surface wrinkles to smooth out. Once set up, keep them positioned by the same piece of furniture to make the route familiar and easy to find.

Getting the most from it

For a useful fit, compare the furniture height with the stairs’ 19.6-inch height before choosing where to place them. The stairs are suited to small dogs and cats, including pets that need an easier way to reach a regular resting spot. Their lightweight 5-pound construction makes them practical to move between a bed and sofa as your home routine changes.

To clean them, remove the polyester cover and hand-wash or machine-wash it. The foam core should not be machine-washed or machine-dried. This removable-cover design makes routine care more convenient while keeping the foam separate from the wash.

Before you decide

What furniture can the stairs help a pet reach? They’re designed for use beside beds, sofas, and other elevated spots. Their 19.6-inch height is the key measurement to compare with the furniture you have in mind.

Do the stairs need to be assembled? No assembly is required. Unpack them and allow up to 24 to 48 hours for the compressed foam to expand to its full size.

How should I clean them? Remove the cover for hand washing or machine washing. Keep the foam core out of the washer and dryer.

Final verdict

The PAWSCRAT DS-4 brings together four soft foam steps, a non-slip bottom, and a washable cover in a size intended for small dogs and cats. It’s a practical way to give a pet a more gradual route to a favorite bed or sofa, with simple setup and removable-cover care for everyday use.
