HerCcreta wigge Extra Wide and Long Dog Car Ramp, 71-Inch Foldable Aluminum

For dogs that need a gentler way to get into a vehicle, this 71-inch ramp offers a walking surface between the ground and the entry point. Its aluminum frame supports up to 270 pounds, and a gray, non-slip carpet gives paws traction as dogs climb. Could a longer route help replace a jump? The ramp also folds for carrying and storage between trips.

What matters most

The 71-inch length is designed to create a gentler incline than a shorter ramp, giving dogs a gradual path into an SUV or truck. That can be useful for senior dogs, short-legged breeds, or pets that benefit from avoiding repeated jumps. At home, the same ramp can provide access to a high bed or couch.

A non-slip carpet surface helps paws grip while walking, while its cushioned texture provides a more comfortable-feeling step than a bare ramp surface. The aluminum construction keeps the ramp at 16 pounds and supports a listed capacity of 270 pounds. Its four-fold design makes it easier to carry and stow than a rigid ramp, and the padded handle helps when moving it between the car and the house.

How it fits

Use the ramp to create a walking route to an SUV or truck, or place it by a high bed or couch for access at home. Its 71-inch length suits situations where a gradual approach is useful instead of asking a dog to jump up or down. For a car trip, unfold it at the vehicle before inviting your dog to walk up, at home, it can be folded away when not in use.

Folded, the ramp measures 19.5 x 17 x 6 inches, making it practical to keep in a vehicle or store indoors. The combination of a fold-flat format and a 16-pound weight also makes it straightforward to move between those locations.

Tips for day-to-day use

Unfold the ramp slowly, holding it from the middle or sides and keeping hands clear of the joints. Give your dog time to become familiar with the carpeted surface, especially if they are new to using a ramp. On regular outings, the folding format makes it convenient to bring along for vehicle access, at home, it can serve the same purpose beside a bed or couch.

Buyer feedback often highlights the folding design and ease of storing the ramp in a vehicle, with some owners finding it useful for senior and large dogs. Opinions vary on perceived stability and whether the width suits every larger dog, and some dogs may be hesitant at first. A calm, gradual introduction can help your pet get accustomed to walking on the ramp.

Is it worth it?

This ramp brings together a long walking path, a traction-focused surface, and a portable folding design for everyday access to vehicles and elevated spots at home. It is a practical fit for dog owners looking to make getting into an SUV or truck a walk rather than a jump, while still being able to fold the ramp away between uses.
