PetRuna 20-Inch Extra-Wide Dog Stairs, 4-Step Foldable Aluminum, Non-Slip

Usage tips

For dogs that need help getting into a vehicle or reaching a raised surface, PetRuna’s extra-wide dog stairs provide four steps instead of one high jump. The aluminum frame folds for storage, while the paw-print-coated steps and rubber mat at the base help provide grip during use. A safety tether secures the stairs to a vehicle, and the foam handle makes them easier to carry.

Use them for car and SUV access, trucks, beds, couches, or grooming and veterinary tables. Attach the tether when setting the stairs up beside a vehicle, and place the base on a stable surface. If you’re choosing between a continuous ramp and a step-by-step route, this design offers distinct surfaces for each step.

Why it makes sense

The wide-step design gives larger dogs more room to place their paws as they climb, and the gentle incline is intended to reduce pressure on the front and back legs. That can make the stairs a practical aid for short-legged, older, injured, or mobility-challenged pets that need a way to reach a vehicle or elevated spot. Their four-step layout also suits dogs who are more comfortable moving one step at a time than navigating a single high jump.

The folding aluminum frame is useful when the stairs need to travel with the family: fold them after use and store them in a trunk or cabinet. The foam grip supports carrying, while its soft surface helps protect the vehicle from scratches. For setup, the tether connects the stairs to the vehicle, and the rubber mat at the bottom adds stability on slippery surfaces.

Customers describe the stairs as easy to use and appreciate the width, foldability, and non-slip grip. Some specifically mention using them with older dogs and on full-size vehicles. Those impressions reflect individual experiences, but they point to the features many owners prioritize when choosing portable access steps.

Should you buy it?

You’ll appreciate it if you want a portable set of steps for helping a dog reach a car, truck, bed, or other raised surface. The extra-wide design, four-step layout, folding aluminum frame, and traction-focused details make PetRuna’s stairs especially relevant for owners looking for a step-based alternative to a ramp. Keep them on hand for everyday vehicle access or trips where a familiar set of steps can help your dog get in and out with more support.
