Oterri AM03118 File Organizer Box, Gray Linen, Foldable for Hanging Files

The gray linen Oterri AM03118 file organizer measures 15.7" L x 12" W x 10.83" H and is designed to hold hanging folders for letter- or legal-size files. Its rectangular profile gives work papers and household documents a dedicated place, while the neutral fabric finish helps it sit naturally on a desk or shelf.

Reinforced construction with MDF board supports everyday document storage, and two clear sliding bars let folders move along the box. The lift-off lid provides a simple way to cover stored files, and the box folds down when you need to put it away.

What to know

This file organizer has one compartment and a 32.08-liter capacity. Its linen exterior and reinforced board construction bring a more finished look than a basic open tray while keeping folders grouped together. The sliding bars guide hanging folders and help protect the box edges as files are moved in and out. A lift-off lid covers the contents between uses, including when the organizer is placed in a home office, on a shelf, or beside a work area.

The box comes already assembled, so it can be put to use without a setup step. It is also foldable for storage when empty. The gray color and solid pattern suit a range of office and home settings, while the simple rectangular shape makes it practical for organizing paperwork alongside books, clothing, or toys. Keep it in a dry indoor area, since the material is not water resistant.

Buyers often praise the sturdy feel, decorative appearance, and usefulness for keeping important papers in order. Feedback on lid alignment is mixed, while many also appreciate the capacity for hanging folders and everyday documents.

Best use cases

Use the organizer to sort active work files, mail, household records, or children’s papers in one accessible place. For example, a home office can keep current bills and forms in hanging folders, with the lid covering them when the workday is done. The sliding bars make it easier to browse folders without lifting each one out, and the fold-down design helps free up storage space when the box is not in use.

It can also hold clothing, books, or toys when you want a lidded storage box rather than a dedicated filing unit. Choose this format for a compact file-storage approach that combines hanging-folder organization with a fabric-covered look.

Everyday use

Set the box on a stable, dry surface and arrange letter- or legal-size hanging files along the clear bars. The single compartment keeps folders together, so paperwork can be grouped by household task, project, or date. Lift off the lid to access documents, then replace it to cover the contents. When the organizer is empty and no longer needed, collapse it for storage.

Its gray linen finish makes it suited to visible spaces where a conventional filing cabinet may feel too formal or bulky. The organizer offers a practical middle ground between an open desktop sorter and a larger cabinet: hanging files stay grouped in a covered, portable box, while the foldable construction is useful for occasional or changing storage needs.

Practical questions

Which file sizes can it hold? It is designed for letter- and legal-size hanging folders, making it useful for common office and household paperwork.

Can the box be stored flat? Yes. The organizer folds down when not in use, helping reduce the space it takes up in storage.

Does it need to be assembled? No setup is needed, the box is described as already assembled and ready to use.
