Koonmi Office Chair Mat for Carpet, 46" x 55" Tempered Glass, Grey

Benefits

For a desk setup on carpet, the Koonmi glass chair mat creates a firm surface for moving your office chair while helping protect the floor beneath it from scratches and wear. Its 46" x 55" footprint gives you room to roll and reposition around a workstation, the tempered glass construction is 1/5" thick and designed for heavy-duty use, with a stated weight capacity of 1,000 pounds.

The grey-tinted finish brings a subtle color to the workspace while letting the flooring show through. Rounded corners and polished edges complete the surface with a smooth, considered look. It’s also designed for use on hardwood, carpet, laminate, and tile, making it useful for a home office, craft room, or other desk area.

Highlights

This rectangular mat measures 55" long by 46" wide and 0.2" thick. Its generous coverage can suit a medium or large workspace where a smaller mat may leave less room to maneuver. The tempered glass surface provides a consistent area for chair movement, while the rounded corners help avoid sharp corners around the edges. A polished edge adds a clean finish.

Buyers often praise how easily chairs roll across the glass, its appearance, and its usefulness on carpet, including in craft rooms. Some also describe the mat as staying in place, while others report needing to reposition it. Feedback on its weight varies as well. These experiences offer practical context when choosing a glass mat for a frequently used desk area.

If you’re comparing a compact mat with a larger option, the 46" x 55" size is the key difference here: it gives the chair more floor area to move across. The glass construction and grey tint also offer a distinct alternative to a conventional plastic-style chair mat.

Everyday use

Place the mat in the chair’s working area so it covers the part of the floor where the chair rolls during everyday desk tasks. Its broad rectangular surface can accommodate movement around a desk, while the glass top provides a defined rolling area in a home office or craft space. The polished edges and rounded corners make the perimeter feel finished as part of the workspace, and the grey tint adds a restrained accent without fully obscuring the flooring beneath.
