Koonmi K-GlassMat 4655-5MM Glass Chair Mat, 46 x 55-Inch Tempered Glass

At 46 x 55 inches, the Koonmi K-GlassMat 4655-5MM creates a broad, clear surface for an office chair on carpet or hard flooring. Its rectangular shape gives the chair room to roll while helping shield the surface beneath it.

Made from tempered glass, the mat has rounded corners and polished edges for a finished look. Its transparency lets the carpet or floor remain visible instead of covering it with an opaque surface.

Use it in a home office, bedroom, study, or workspace where a rolling chair needs a defined area. The smooth glass surface offers a different approach from flexible plastic chair mats, with a clean, understated appearance.

How to use it

Place the mat where the chair will roll, with the rounded corners oriented to suit the space. The listed surface recommendations include carpet and hard flooring, and the manufacturer also identifies tile as a compatible surface. A detachable anti-slip pad is included to help keep the mat in position, set it up with the pad in place before moving the chair across the surface.

The clear glass makes the mat useful when you want to protect carpet without hiding its pattern, or preserve the look of a hard floor in a work area. For example, in a study or craft room, it creates a dedicated rolling zone that lets the chair move across the mat rather than directly over the floor covering. The smooth surface is designed for rolling office chairs, and the mat is described as easy to clean and maintain.

Pros

What sets a glass mat apart from a flexible plastic one? The tempered-glass construction offers a rigid alternative that the product description says resists scratching, cracking, and curling over time. The transparent finish, rounded corners, and polished edges also make it easier to incorporate into a workspace without a bulky-looking barrier.

Customer feedback frequently appreciates the chair’s movement across the surface, the mat’s appearance, and its use on carpet, including in craft rooms. Some buyers say it stays in place, while others report needing to reposition it, so the included anti-slip pad is a practical part of setup. These comments reflect individual experiences, the mat’s documented features remain its tempered-glass construction, clear finish, and protective design.
