Quick sizing guide
The case measures 0.7 x 7.5 x 5.4 inches and weighs 1.37 pounds, making those dimensions useful when planning shelf space or organizing a DVD collection. With 15 discs covering the complete series, it keeps the story in a single set rather than spread across separate season purchases. Its NTSC format is a practical detail to consider when choosing a DVD release for your setup.
Why it makes sense
Bates Motel explores the formative years of Norman Bates and the complicated bond between him and Norma. That character-focused premise gives the collection room for suspense, family drama, and the gradual development of a familiar horror story. It suits a planned series watch as well as revisiting the story over multiple sessions, with the full 36 hours and 10 minutes gathered in one set.
The collection also includes bonus material such as deleted scenes, a Paley Center panel with the cast and creative team, behind-the-scenes features, and Bates Motel: After Hours segments. Additional features include Bates Motel: Closed for Business and Bates Motel: The Checkout, adding related material for viewers who want to explore beyond the episodes.
Viewers often highlight the cast’s performances and the story, while feedback on the DVDs’ playback and physical condition is mixed: some report smooth playback, and others describe discs that did not work properly or arrived scratched. This is useful context when deciding between a physical set and a viewing option that does not depend on discs.
