SmarTect TPU Screen Protector for Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, Matte, 2 Pack
Product description
The matte TPU film is designed to reduce glare and fingerprints, making the Galaxy S23 Ultra’s display easier to view and keep clean in everyday use. Its flexible material is intended to follow the phone’s curved screen, while the pack includes two protectors and a fitting kit.
This is a screen film for scratch protection, not a substitute for the stronger impact protection associated with tempered glass. The choice comes down to what matters more: a flexible covering suited to curved edges, or a more rigid protector for greater resistance to knocks and drops.
Who it’s for
The SmarTect protector is for Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra owners who want a matte finish and a flexible film rather than a rigid glass layer. The anti-glare finish may be useful when reflections make the screen harder to see, while the stated anti-fingerprint and dirt-resistant coating is aimed at keeping everyday smudges down. High touch sensitivity is listed as a feature, so the film is intended for normal touchscreen use.
The curved display is an important part of the fit: TPU can flex around screen edges where a rigid protector may be less suited. The product is also described as case friendly, which may suit anyone who wants to keep using a phone case alongside the film. Worth considering if you want two films in the pack, as that gives you a spare if the first application does not go to plan.
Why it’s worth it
The practical appeal is the combination of a matte surface, flexible coverage and a supplied installation kit. Rather than buying a single rigid protector, you get two TPU films, a positioning aid, wet wipes, a microfibre cloth, anti-dust stickers and instructions. Those items provide the basics for cleaning the screen and positioning the film before fitting.
The product information says the film protects against scratches and that its surface can self-heal small scratches or bubbles. That is useful context, but TPU is described as basic protection under light stress, tempered glass is the more relevant alternative if impact resistance from drops is the main priority. Not the best choice if you are specifically looking for a protector positioned for stronger drop protection. The manufacturer also notes that fingerprint sensors may rarely need recalibration or resetting after application.

When it makes sense
Choose this film if your priorities are a matte view, flexible coverage for the S23 Ultra’s curved display and a fitting kit in the box. The two-film pack also makes sense if you would rather have a spare available than buy a replacement separately. If you prioritise impact protection over flexibility and glare reduction, a tempered-glass style protector is the more relevant type to compare. The product details do not establish a level of drop protection, so this film is best judged for its stated everyday scratch protection and screen finish.
