SmarTect Tempered Glass Screen Protector for Garmin Forerunner 45 / 45s / 55, 3-Pack

If you want to protect a Garmin Forerunner 45, 45s or 55 display from everyday scratches, this SmarTect pack includes three tempered-glass protectors. The glass is listed as 0.3 mm thick, with a 9H hardness rating and a glossy finish, it is intended to preserve display clarity while adding a protective layer.

The main trade-off is coverage: on a curved device, the protector covers only the horizontal surface. That matters if you expect glass to cover the full curve of the screen.

Best use cases

This pack suits owners of the Forerunner 45, 45s or 55 who prefer a rigid glass layer to a flexible film. It is aimed at reducing exposure to scratches, fingerprints and everyday knocks, rather than changing how the watch is used. The oleophobic coating is intended to help resist grease and dirt, while the high-sensitivity touch feature is designed to retain touch response.

For example, someone who wears their watch during a normal day and wants an added barrier between the display and incidental contact may find the three protectors useful. The included cleaning accessories also make the fitting process more self-contained. If the display curves at the edges, though, the stated coverage is limited to its horizontal surface.

Strengths

Three protectors in one pack give you replacements if a fitting attempt goes wrong or a protector needs changing later. The cleaning kit is a practical inclusion: wet wipes and anti-dust stickers address common sources of bubbles, while the microfibre cloth helps prepare the display. The manufacturer describes the application as bubble-free, but the result will still depend on careful fitting and a clean screen.

Tempered glass is the more rigid approach compared with a flexible TPU film. The supplied product information describes TPU as better suited to curved displays and lighter-use protection, whereas this glass option is positioned for scratch and impact resistance. It makes sense if your priority is a glass protector for one of the listed Forerunner models and you are happy with horizontal-surface coverage. You may want to skip it if full coverage around a curved display is essential, within these limits, its main appeal is the three-piece pack and included fitting kit.

What to clarify

Which watches does it fit? It is specified for the Garmin Forerunner 45, 45s and 55. The listing does not name other compatible models.

Does it cover a curved screen edge to edge? No. The product information says that, on a curved device, only the horizontal surface is covered.

What comes in the pack? There are three glass protectors, three wet wipes, a microfibre cloth, two anti-dust stickers and an instruction manual in English.

Is it worth it?

This is a focused purchase for someone with a listed Forerunner model who wants tempered glass and values having spare protectors and cleaning accessories to hand. Its 9H rating and protective claims may appeal if a rigid layer is preferable to a flexible film, but they do not change the stated coverage limitation. The key decision is whether protection across the flat display area is enough for your watch, if you need coverage over curved edges, the product information points towards a different kind of protector.
