SmarTect Matte TPU Screen Protectors for Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, 2-Pack

For Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra owners looking to reduce screen glare while guarding against scratches, this SmarTect matte TPU film is designed for that specific phone. The pack includes two flexible protectors and an application kit. Would a matte finish suit your day-to-day viewing better? It also has an oleophobic coating intended to resist fingerprints and dirt.

At a glance

These are film protectors rather than rigid glass: the thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) is flexible and is described as adapting to the phone’s curved display for full coverage. The matte finish is the main distinction from a clear protector, as it reduces glare while keeping the screen visible. The listed screen size is 6.8 inches, and the stated compatible model is the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra.

The box contains two TPU films, a positioning aid, two wet wipes, a microfibre cloth, two anti-dust stickers and an instruction manual. That gives you a spare film as well as the cleaning and alignment items for fitting. The surface is described as self-healing, with small bubbles or scratches able to disappear after application, the fitting kit is intended to help achieve a bubble-free result, though careful installation still matters.

Everyday use

The matte surface may be useful when reflections distract from reading or checking the screen, while the flexible film is suited to a curved display. Its scratch-resistant finish offers everyday screen protection, and the coating helps limit fingerprints and dirt. The product information also says touch sensitivity is retained and that the protector does not affect Face ID or fingerprint sensors, it notes that, in rare cases, sensors may need recalibration or resetting after fitting.

Compared with tempered glass, TPU is the more flexible approach for curved edges, but the supplied information describes its protection as basic under light stress. Tempered glass is presented as the stronger choice for shock resistance and protection against drops. That distinction matters if your priority is impact protection rather than a matte finish and flexible coverage.

Best use cases

This pack makes most sense for someone who wants a matte screen protector made for the Galaxy S24 Ultra, especially if glare and visible fingerprints are everyday irritations. For example, the reduced-glare finish may be welcome when reading messages or following directions on the phone in a bright setting. The two-film quantity is also practical if you want a replacement ready after fitting or later wear, without needing to buy a single film again straight away.

It’s a good fit if you want flexible coverage for the phone’s curved screen and are comfortable applying a film using the included cleaning and positioning accessories. It may not suit you if drop protection is the deciding factor: the product information points to tempered glass for that more demanding role. If you prioritise a clear rather than matte appearance, SmarTect lists clear films in its wider range, but this specific pack has a matte finish.

Is it worth it?

The strongest reason to choose this pack is the combination of a phone-specific fit, glare-reducing matte surface and two protectors with the tools for application. It is a focused choice for managing everyday scratches, reflections and fingerprints, rather than a substitute for stronger impact protection. The included kit may make the fitting process more manageable, but it does not remove the need to clean and align the screen carefully. Choose it when those everyday benefits and flexible coverage match your priorities, look to tempered glass instead if protection from drops is the main requirement.
