SmarTect Tempered Glass Screen Protector for Galaxy A17 5G/A16, 0.3 mm, 3-Pack

The 0.3 mm tempered glass is designed to add a clear protective layer while keeping the phone display visible. Its 9H hardness rating and glossy finish are aimed at everyday scratch and impact protection.

The pack contains three protectors for the Samsung Galaxy A17 5G or Galaxy A16. That gives you replacements in the box, rather than a single sheet to rely on.

Cleaning and fitting accessories are included, along with an English instruction manual. The product is intended to fit most cases, according to the supplied details.

Strengths

This SmarTect protector focuses on the practical basics: a clear glass surface, high touch sensitivity and an oleophobic coating intended to reduce fingerprints, dirt and grease marks. It is a straightforward choice if you want a physical screen layer without changing the display’s appearance more than necessary. The stated 9H hardness is a useful point of comparison when shopping for protection against scratches from everyday contact, though it should not be read as a guarantee against every impact or breakage.

The three-piece pack suits someone who would rather have spare protectors available than buy another one immediately after a fitting goes wrong or the glass needs replacing. In the box are three screen protectors, three wet wipes, a microfibre cloth, two anti-dust stickers and an instruction manual. That gives you the basic items for cleaning and application in one pack.

What matters most

Compatibility is specific to the Samsung Galaxy A17 5G and Galaxy A16, so this is not a general-purpose sheet for any mobile phone. The supplied information describes it as case-compatible and cut to fit most cases, but does not name particular case models. If you use a case, the protector’s fit with that case is the relevant detail to bear in mind.

The choice is also between rigid glass and a flexible film. Tempered glass is the more direct fit for someone prioritising a firm surface against scratches and everyday knocks, the product information describes TPU film as more flexible for curved displays and suited to basic protection in light use. If the phone has a curved screen, this protector covers only the horizontal surface, rather than the full curve. It might not be a great match if full coverage across a curved display is your priority.

You’ll like it if you want a clear glass protector for one of the two named Galaxy phones, with fitting supplies and spares included. The 0.3 mm thickness and glossy finish are stated product details, there is no stated coverage for the screen edges beyond the note about curved displays.

Usage tips

Use the included wipes, cloth and anti-dust stickers as part of the fitting process, and follow the English instruction manual. Taking care over cleaning before application is particularly relevant to a bubble-free finish, the listing describes the installation kit as helping with this, rather than guaranteeing a perfect result in every setting. Keep the spare protectors for a later replacement, and check the phone model before opening the pack, as compatibility is limited to the Galaxy A16 and A17 5G.

Final verdict

This is a practical pick if you want three clear, glossy tempered-glass protectors for a Galaxy A16 or A17 5G and value having the cleaning kit included. Its stated strengths are the 9H hardness rating, touch sensitivity and fingerprint-resistant coating. The main decision point is screen shape: for a curved phone, the listed coverage is limited to the horizontal surface, so a flexible protector designed for broader curved-screen coverage may suit that need better.
