SmarTect Matte TPU Screen Protector for Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus, 2-Pack

Everyday use

Made from thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), these matte screen protectors are designed for the Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus. The flexible film is intended to cover the phone’s curved display, while its matte finish reduces glare and an oleophobic coating helps resist fingerprints and dirt.

The pack contains two films, so there is a spare if you need another application later. A positioning aid, cleaning items and instructions are included to support fitting at home. The product is also described as case-friendly, which may suit someone who wants screen coverage without changing how they use a phone case.

TPU is a flexible-film approach rather than a rigid tempered-glass one. The supplied information describes it as basic protection under light stress, it does not offer the same stated drop protection as tempered glass. It’s a good fit if glare reduction and a flexible covering are priorities. It’s not for you if you specifically want the shock and drop protection attributed to tempered glass.

What stands out

The practical distinction here is the surface finish. A matte film is aimed at reducing reflections, which may be welcome when using the phone in brighter surroundings, while the flexible TPU is intended to follow curved screen edges. The coating is also described as helping with fingerprints and dirt, and the film is listed as scratch-resistant with high touch sensitivity.

Fitting support is another useful part of the package: the positioning aid and cleaning accessories give you more to work with than a film supplied on its own. The manufacturer says small bubbles can disappear after application, but careful cleaning and alignment still matter when fitting a screen protector. The self-healing surface is also said to help small scratches fade.

The main trade-off is the protection style. Choose this flexible film for a matte surface and everyday scratch protection, choose a tempered-glass approach if impact and drop protection are the deciding factors. That distinction is more useful than treating the two formats as interchangeable.

Questions before you buy

Will it fit the Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus? It is listed as compatible with that phone and is described as adapting to curved displays. Check that your handset is the Plus model before ordering, as compatibility is specified for that model.

What comes in the pack? There are two films, a positioning aid, two wet wipes, a microfiber cloth, two anti-dust stickers and an instruction manual.

Will touch features still work? The product information says the film does not affect Face ID or fingerprint sensors, though recalibration or a reset may be needed in rare cases after application.

Is it worth it?

This pack makes sense if you want a matte, flexible screen film for the Galaxy S23 Plus and value having fitting accessories and a second film included. Its stated strengths are glare reduction, fingerprint resistance and coverage for a curved display, rather than impact protection. If drops are your main concern, the supplied comparison points towards tempered glass instead, if a thinner flexible film and reduced screen glare matter more, this is the more relevant format to consider.
