SmarTect Screen Protector for Xiaomi Redmi A5 4G, 3-Pack, 0.3 mm Glass

A screen protector can help keep a mobile phone display clear through everyday handling, from being slipped into a bag to sharing space with keys or coins. This SmarTect pack is made for the Xiaomi Redmi A5 4G.

The glossy tempered glass is 0.3 mm thick and has a stated 9H hardness rating. Its clear finish is intended to preserve the display’s original appearance, while the touch-sensitive surface is designed for normal phone use.

Three protectors are included, along with cleaning and dust-removal accessories. That gives you replacement pieces in the pack, rather than a single sheet of flexible film.

What you’ll notice day to day

The main benefit is a layer of glass between the phone display and everyday scuffs. The product also lists an anti-fingerprint, oleophobic coating to help resist grease and dirt marks. That can make the screen easier to keep looking clean, though it does not mean fingerprints will never appear.

The clear, glossy surface is the more straightforward choice if you want to keep the display visible as usual. Compared with flexible TPU film, tempered glass is the firmer option for scratch and impact resistance, TPU is more flexible and is described as suited to curved displays and lighter use. The choice comes down to the protection style you want, not a change to the phone’s display itself.

What matters most

Compatibility is specific: this protector is listed for the Xiaomi Redmi A5 4G, so it is not a general glass sheet for other phones. The manufacturer notes that on a curved smartphone, the protector covers only the horizontal surface. That detail matters if your phone has a curved display, as the edges may not be covered in the same way.

The pack contains three glass protectors, three wet wipes, a microfibre cloth, two anti-dust stickers and an instruction manual in English. The included kit is intended to support cleaning and application, with bubble-free fitting as the stated aim. A solid pick if you want several glass protectors and the cleaning items together. You may want to skip it if your priority is a flexible film for a curved screen.

Usage tips

Clean the display before fitting the glass, using the supplied wipes and cloth, and use the dust stickers to lift any remaining particles. Follow the included instructions during application, dust trapped underneath is a practical reason a screen protector may not sit neatly. The product is described as case-compatible, but the information does not identify particular cases, so compatibility with a specific case is not confirmed here.

What to clarify

Does the pack include fitting accessories? Yes. It lists wet wipes, a microfibre cloth, anti-dust stickers and an English instruction manual, as well as the three protectors.

Is it made for other Xiaomi phones? The stated compatible phone model is the Xiaomi Redmi A5 4G. No other phone models are listed.

Will it cover a curved screen edge to edge? The manufacturer says that on a curved smartphone, only the horizontal surface is covered. Check that detail against your phone’s display shape before choosing it.

When it makes sense

Choose this pack when you have a Xiaomi Redmi A5 4G and want clear tempered glass with spare protectors and fitting accessories. The 9H rating and stated resistance to scratches and impacts make it a more rigid alternative to basic flexible film for everyday screen protection. If you prioritise full coverage on a curved display, the stated horizontal-surface coverage is a meaningful reason to consider a different protector style.
