PLAYMOBIL 72280 City Action Rescue Boat with Outboard Motor and Rescue Gear

Practical tips

Set up a waterside rescue scene at the beach, harbour or lake, then use the inflatable boat, outboard motor and paddles to send the team out on a new mission. The rescue line with hook and lifebuoys give children props for acting out how someone might be helped, while the flag can mark the area of activity. The included case adds a place for equipment in the story, from preparing for a call-out to packing up afterwards.

The sticker sheet lets children customise the boat before adding it to their City Action play.

What stands out

This set brings a recognisable water-rescue scenario into a compact playset: an inflatable boat, outboard motor, two paddles and rescue equipment all support different parts of the same adventure. Children can imagine setting off under motor power, using paddles to manoeuvre, or reaching someone with the lifebuoy and rescue line. These details give the play a clear purpose, rather than leaving the boat as a standalone vehicle.

The figures and accessories help build a scene around the action. A case and warning flag extend the story to the shore, where the team can prepare its equipment and mark the rescue area. With personalisation stickers included, children can also make the boat their own before taking it into play.

What to know

Made from plastic, the PLAYMOBIL rescue boat is designed for manual, imaginative play and is listed for children aged 4 and up. Some assembly is required. Batteries are not required, so the focus stays on setting up scenes and creating missions rather than powered play.

The set includes lifeguard figure(s), an inflatable boat, two paddles, an outboard motor, lifebuoy equipment, a rescue line with hook, a case, a flag and a sticker sheet. It is part of the City Action range and is compatible with other PLAYMOBIL City Action rescue sets, making it straightforward to bring into a wider beach, harbour or lake setting. Compared with choosing a boat on its own, this set offers more story prompts through its rescue equipment and shoreline accessories.

When it makes sense

Choose this set for children who enjoy vehicle-based role play and want a rescue mission with more to do than simply steer a boat around a scene. For example, a play session can begin with the flag marking the area, move on to a boat launch and a lifebuoy rescue, then finish with the equipment being returned to its case. The included accessories give each stage a prop, helping children develop their own sequences and scenarios.

It also suits a growing PLAYMOBIL City Action setup: the rescue boat adds a water-based role to scenes built around other rescue sets. Worth considering if you want one playset that combines a boat, figures and hands-on rescue accessories for imaginative missions at the beach, harbour or lake.
