Settle in for a musical movie night in the kingdom of Rosas with Wish on bilingual Blu-ray. Asha’s powerful wish brings her together with Star, a lively cosmic force, as they take on King Magnifico and fight to protect their community.

This animated musical-comedy runs for 1 hour and 35 minutes and has a Canadian Home Video Rating of PG. Its story brings together adventure, humour and songs in a fantasy setting.

The disc also offers bonus features, deleted scenes and options to sing along with the movie or select individual songs, adding more ways to revisit the film.

Key points

Asha is an idealistic young woman whose wish sets the story in motion. When Star appears, the two join forces against Rosas’s ruler, King Magnifico. The central conflict gives the film a clear adventure arc, while its songs and comedic moments keep the journey rooted in musical entertainment.

The bilingual Blu-ray format is suited to viewers looking for a home-video edition of Wish. The listing identifies English, French and Spanish, alongside English and Spanish subtitle information. The Canadian PG rating gives households a useful reference when choosing a film for a shared movie night.

There is also material beyond the feature. Special features include behind-the-scenes featurettes about the story, characters and filmmaking, along with deleted scenes, outtakes and a deleted song. Sing Along With the Movie and a separate song selection let viewers return to musical numbers such as “This Wish,” “I’m A Star” and “At All Costs.”

Who it’s for

Wish suits viewers drawn to animated fantasy, original songs and a story about standing up for a community. It can anchor a movie night for fans of musical-comedies, while the bonus content gives interested viewers a reason to spend time with the disc after the feature ends. Anyone choosing between a single-feature film and an edition with extras may appreciate the added featurettes, deleted scenes and song options here.

Getting the most from it

For a straightforward viewing, play the feature from the beginning and follow Asha and Star’s journey through Rosas. If the songs are the main attraction, use the song selection to revisit individual numbers, or choose the sing-along version for a more participatory watch. The deleted scenes and filmmaking featurettes offer a natural next step for viewers who want to explore how the story and its characters came together.

At 1 hour and 35 minutes, the feature has a defined runtime for planning an evening at home. The disc format makes it a practical choice for a personal movie collection, especially for viewers who want to return to the film and its supplementary content rather than choose a viewing once and move on.

Is it worth it?

Wish brings together a fantasy adventure, a musical-comedy story and a substantial selection of viewing extras in one Blu-ray edition. It suits viewers who want Asha and Star’s story for home movie nights, and who value the option to revisit songs, deleted scenes and behind-the-scenes features. For an animated film collection, the bilingual edition offers both the feature and additional ways to enjoy its music and creative world.
