I Love Lucy: The Complete Series Blu-ray Collection with Remastered Extras
Product description
Some viewers want the classic sitcom episodes, others want a broader look at Lucy and Ricky’s TV history. This Blu-ray collection brings together all 194 I Love Lucy episodes from its six seasons, The Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour and additional archival features, making it a substantial choice for revisiting the series across its original run and beyond.
Alongside the episodes, the set adds remastered material and a newly colourized, previously unreleased episode. It’s suited to a full-series watch-through, or to dipping back into favourite comic moments and exploring how the collection extends beyond the original seasons.
Who it’s for
This set is for fans who want the complete I Love Lucy run in one collection, as well as viewers interested in the related Lucy-Desi broadcasts and bonus material. Rather than focusing only on the six seasons, it also includes The Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour, presented as The Lucille Ball-Desi Arnaz Show, with restored long-missing footage and original cast commercials. That wider scope makes it useful for a chronological rewatch or a home library centred on Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz’s best-known work.
A solid pick if you’re choosing between a collection focused on the original sitcom and one that also preserves related programmes and archival extras. The included pilot, I Love Lucy: The Movie, selected-episode audio commentaries and Lucy on The Radio broadcasts add further ways to explore the series beyond watching episodes in order.
What you’ll notice day to day
The collection combines familiar episodes with material that adds context and variety to a rewatch. The remastered opening and closing credits, three restored flashback scenes and a portion of the 1959 CBS fall preview special featuring Lucille Ball and Vivian Vance bring archival pieces into the same set. The newly colourized “Lucy and the Loving Cup” episode offers another way to revisit the show’s comedy. Looking for more than a straight run of sitcom episodes? The added broadcasts, photo galleries and production notes broaden the viewing experience.
For a relaxed evening, choose an episode and enjoy Lucy’s comic misadventures with Ricky, Ethel and Fred, for a deeper dive, move through the seasons, then explore the related comedy-hour material and extras. The Blu-ray format brings the collection together for home viewing, with a listed runtime of 89 hours and 57 minutes.
