Who it’s for

This set suits viewers who want the three films together rather than selecting each title separately. It brings the 2010 film, the 2012 sequel and the 2015 Vengeance Is Mine entry into a single collection, giving fans a straightforward way to revisit the series in release order or choose a particular story for a horror night.

The tone is dark and confrontational: the plots deal with sexual violence, torture and revenge. In the first film, writer Jennifer Hills retreats to a country cabin to work, but the isolation gives way to a brutal attack and her pursuit of those responsible. The sequel follows aspiring model Katie Carter after an offer to photograph her portfolio turns into a kidnapping. In the third film, Jennifer is trying to rebuild her life when a friend’s murder and the release of a perpetrator draw her back towards revenge. These story details help set expectations for a viewer choosing a film for themselves or a group.

If you’re comparing a multi-film set with buying one entry at a time, this package is the more direct way to keep all three titles together. The shared revenge-horror theme links the films, while their different characters and circumstances give each entry its own storyline.

What you get

The three discs contain the films and selected bonus material. For I Spit on Your Grave (2010), the listed extras include deleted scenes, audio commentary with director Steven R. Monroe and producer Lisa Hansen, The Revenge of Jennifer Hills: Remaking a Cult Icon, a teaser trailer, theatrical trailers and a radio spot. I Spit on Your Grave 2 includes deleted scenes. These extras add behind-the-scenes and promotional material alongside the feature films.

Choose this collection if your priority is having the three I Spit on Your Grave films together on DVD, with English and Spanish subtitles and bonus features for the first two entries. Its three-disc format brings the series’ linked revenge-horror stories into one home collection, well suited to viewers planning a focused trilogy viewing or adding these films to a horror DVD shelf.
