JBL Tune Buds 2 JBLTBUDS2BLKAM True Wireless Earbuds, Black, ANC

For music, calls and commutes, the JBL Tune Buds 2 combine adjustable noise control with JBL Pure Bass Sound and Spatial Sound. Their 10 mm dynamic drivers bring a full sound to playlists, videos and games, while Adaptive Noise Cancelling lets you tailor how much of your surroundings you hear.

Touch controls and the JBL Headphones app make it easy to adjust your listening experience as your day changes.

Highlights

Adaptive Noise Cancelling helps reduce distractions, while Smart Ambient features give you options for staying aware of nearby sounds. Ambient Aware adjusts how much of the outside world comes through, and TalkThru lets you speak with someone without removing the earbuds. That flexibility is useful when moving between a focused listening session and a conversation.

JBL Spatial Sound transforms stereo audio from different sources into a more immersive listening experience. For calls, six microphones—three on each earbud—work with noise-cancellation and echo-suppression algorithms to help capture your voice. The JBL Headphones app also offers Personi-Fi 3.0 for personalizing the sound profile, along with controls for ambient sound and touch gestures.

Bluetooth 5.3 supports wireless listening, and multipoint connection lets you switch between two Bluetooth devices, such as a tablet and a cell phone. The earbuds offer up to 48 hours of total playback, and the black charging case helps keep them ready between listening sessions. The earbuds are IP54-rated for dust and water resistance, that rating applies to the earbuds, not the case.

Fit and sizing

These in-ear earbuds come with ear tips in three sizes, so you can choose the option that feels more secure and comfortable for your ears. The JBL Headphones app includes a fit check to help guide your adjustment. A snug fit also helps position the earbuds for everyday listening, whether you’re commuting, exercising or settling in at your desk.

Buyers often praise the sound, noise cancellation and Bluetooth connection. Fit feedback is more mixed, with some reporting that the earbuds do not stay securely in their ears. Trying the supplied tip sizes and using the app’s fit check can help you find a suitable fit.

Who it’s for

These earbuds suit listeners who want wireless audio for everyday routines, including commuting, outdoor activities, exercise, music and video. Adaptive noise control is especially handy when the listening environment changes: choose more isolation for focused listening, then use Smart Ambient when you want to hear more around you. The microphone system and app-based call settings also make them practical for calls and online meetings.

If you’re choosing between basic wireless earbuds and a pair with more listening controls, the Tune Buds 2 add adaptive noise cancelling, ambient modes and spatial audio in one in-ear design. You can also personalize the sound rather than relying only on a fixed audio profile.

What to clarify

How do the noise-control modes work? Adaptive Noise Cancelling adjusts noise reduction, while Ambient Aware lets more outside sound through and TalkThru helps with short conversations without removing the earbuds.

Can I use them with more than one device? Yes. Multipoint connection supports switching between two Bluetooth devices, such as a tablet and a cell phone.

What comes in the package? It includes the JBL Tune Buds 2 earbuds, a wireless charging case, a Type-C USB charging cable and ear tips in three sizes.

When it makes sense

A solid pick if you want true wireless earbuds that can shift between immersive listening and awareness of your surroundings.
