JBL Tune Buds 2 JBLTBUDS2TQEAM True Wireless Earbuds, Turquoise, Adaptive ANC

Adaptive Noise Cancelling helps reduce distractions on a commute, while Smart Ambient modes let you hear more of your surroundings or talk without removing the earbuds. The JBL Tune Buds 2 also pair 10 mm dynamic drivers with JBL Pure Bass Sound and Spatial Sound for music, video and games.

For focused listening, use noise cancellation, for a walk or a quick conversation, switch to Ambient Aware or TalkThru. Bluetooth 5.3 supports wireless listening across compatible cell phones, tablets, laptops and other listed Bluetooth devices.

Usage tips

Choose from the three included sizes of ear tips to find a secure, comfortable fit, then use the JBL Headphones app’s fit check and sound controls to personalize your setup. The app also lets you adjust Adaptive Noise Cancelling and ambient sound settings, customize touch gestures and tailor the audio profile with Personi-Fi 3.0.

For a quieter ride or focused listening, turn on Adaptive Noise Cancelling. When you need to stay aware of nearby sounds, Ambient Aware lets more of your surroundings through, TalkThru is designed for conversation without taking the earbuds out. The earbuds are rated IP54 for dust and water resistance, which can be useful during exercise or when you’re out in light rain. This rating applies to the earbuds, not the case.

What you’ll notice day to day

The combination of noise control and ambient listening makes these earbuds adaptable across different routines: keep background sound down while listening to a playlist, then switch modes to remain more connected to your environment. JBL Spatial Sound can add an immersive quality to stereo content, including movies and games, while the app’s Personi-Fi 3.0 tools let you shape the sound to your preferences.

Six microphones support calls, with two outer beamforming microphones and one inner microphone in each earbud. The case adds charging between listening sessions, and multipoint lets you switch between two Bluetooth devices—for example, moving from a video on a tablet to a call on a cell phone. Customer feedback often appreciates the sound, bass and noise cancellation, while reports on fit are mixed. Trying the included tip sizes and using the app’s fit check can help you find the fit that works for you.
