esonstyle X36 Bluetooth 6.2 Bone Conduction Headphones, IP68, 8GB MP3

For swimmers and active listeners who want music without keeping a phone nearby, the esonstyle X36 combines built-in MP3 storage with an open-ear bone conduction design. Its IP68 waterproof rating and 8GB of onboard storage make it practical for listening in the water, while Bluetooth 6.2 supports wireless use with compatible devices on land.

Switch to MP3 mode for swimming, where Bluetooth signals can be affected by water. On land, use Bluetooth to connect to a phone or tablet and move between two connected devices.

Worth noting

The X36 uses 13mm bone conduction drivers and an open-ear fit, leaving the ears uncovered while you listen. That can be useful for outdoor activities where hearing nearby traffic, a coach or other surroundings matters. Physical buttons provide a straightforward way to control playback, including when your hands are wet.

For swimming, the built-in 8GB MP3 storage lets you play music directly from the headphones without carrying a phone. The product information describes IP68 waterproofing and use at depths of up to 3 metres. Switch from Bluetooth to MP3 mode before getting in the water, since Bluetooth reception can be affected underwater. On land, Bluetooth 6.2 offers a stated range of 15 metres and the option to connect to two devices.

How it fits

A rear-hook design and adjustable silicone lanyard let you tailor the fit. At a stated 26 g, the headphones are designed to feel lightweight during longer sessions, from pool training to a run or cycling route. Their open-ear format offers a different approach from conventional in-ear headphones: instead of sealing the ear canal, the X36 keeps the ears open while delivering sound through bone conduction.

The built-in battery is rated for up to 9 hours of playback at 50% volume, with a stated full charge time of 2 hours. A magnetic charging cable connects to the headphones, and button controls keep everyday operation simple. Buyers have expressed satisfaction with the headphones and noted their colour choices, these are customer impressions rather than a measure of technical performance.

Best use cases

For pool or open-water sessions, load music onto the headphones and use MP3 mode so playback does not depend on a phone connection. The included silicone earplugs are intended to help optimize underwater sound. The same open-ear design suits running, cycling, hiking, gym workouts and other activities where listening while remaining aware of nearby sounds is useful.

For travel or everyday listening, Bluetooth connectivity works with cellphones and desktops. You can use the headphones for entertainment or fitness sessions, then switch to onboard MP3 playback when a wireless connection is less suitable. This makes the X36 a versatile alternative to headphones that rely on a phone for every listening session.

Should you buy it?

It makes sense if you want one pair of headphones for swimming and land-based workouts, with onboard storage for listening without a phone and an open-ear design for outdoor activity. The X36 brings those practical uses together with adjustable fit, physical controls and Bluetooth connectivity. Choose MP3 mode for swimming, then use Bluetooth on land for a convenient way to move between stored music and connected devices.
