JBL Live 770NC JBLLIVE770NCBLKAM Wireless Over-Ear Headphones with Adaptive Noise Cancelling

Some listening sessions call for fewer distractions, others work better when you can still hear what is happening around you. JBL Live 770NC headphones offer True Adaptive Noise Cancelling for focused listening and Smart Ambient when you want to stay aware without taking them off.

Their over-ear fit, JBL Signature Sound and long battery life make them suited to music, calls, videos and gaming throughout the day.

What matters most

True Adaptive Noise Cancelling uses four noise-sensing microphones to adjust to your surroundings, helping create a more focused listening space for studying, commuting or enjoying music. Switch to Smart Ambient to let more of the outside world through, or have a conversation without removing the headphones.

The 40 mm dynamic drivers deliver JBL Signature Sound, with JBL Spatial Sound turning stereo content into virtual surround sound. For calls, two beamforming microphones are designed to pick up your voice, including when you’re outdoors. Bluetooth 5.3 wireless connectivity and multipoint pairing let you connect two Bluetooth devices and move between them, such as switching from a video on a tablet to a call on your cell phone.

Battery life is rated at up to 65 hours, or up to 50 hours with Bluetooth and noise cancelling on. A full recharge takes about two hours, while a five-minute quick charge provides four additional hours of listening. Auto play and pause starts or stops playback when you put the headphones on or take them off.

Practical tips

Choose these over-ear headphones when you want a single pair for both concentrated listening and moments when awareness of your surroundings matters. Use noise cancelling to settle into music or study, then switch to Smart Ambient to hear more around you. The fabric headband and over-ear design support longer listening sessions, while touch and voice controls provide ways to manage playback and access a preferred voice assistant.

For wireless use, pair with a Bluetooth-enabled device. The package includes a detachable audio cable for wired listening, along with a USB-C charging cable and a carrying pouch. The listed uses include business, entertainment and gaming, so the same pair can move between calls, films and music rather than being set aside for one activity.

Everyday use

At home, multipoint pairing can make it easier to move between a tablet playing a show and a cell phone receiving calls. On a study session, adaptive noise cancelling helps keep attention on the audio, while Smart Ambient offers a way to hear more of your surroundings when needed. For a commute or a walk, the over-ear design keeps your music close and the ambient mode gives you a practical listening choice without removing the headphones.

Listeners often praise the sound, comfort, noise cancelling and battery life, and some appreciate being able to tailor settings. Experiences with durability and connectivity are more mixed, so these comments are best treated as individual impressions rather than promises of performance.
