JBL Tune 770NC Wireless Over-Ear Headphones with Adaptive ANC and Bluetooth 5.3

At 232 g, the JBL Tune 770NC is a lightweight, foldable pair of over-ear headphones for listening at home, studying or enjoying music on the go. Adaptive Noise Cancelling helps reduce distractions, while Smart Ambient features let you bring in surrounding sounds or make voices easier to hear without taking the headphones off.

Bluetooth 5.3 supports wireless listening, and multipoint pairing lets the headphones connect to two Bluetooth devices at once. Switch between a video on a tablet and an incoming call on your phone, then adjust your sound through the JBL Headphones app.

How to use it

Pair the headphones with a Bluetooth-enabled device to listen wirelessly. Use Adaptive Noise Cancelling when you want to focus, or choose Ambient Aware or TalkThru in the JBL Headphones app to hear more of your surroundings or conversations. What if you want the sound to suit different kinds of listening? The app lets you select a preset EQ mode or adjust the EQ curve to your preference.

Buttons on the ear-cup provide access to sound and call controls. VoiceAware lets you hear your own voice while speaking, and the headphones can also manage voice-assistant functions. For studying, for example, you can use noise cancelling to settle into a listening session, then switch to TalkThru when someone speaks to you.

Strengths

The Tune 770NC combines listening modes for different settings with a sound profile built around JBL Pure Bass. Adaptive Noise Cancelling supports focused listening, while Ambient Aware and TalkThru give you options for staying more aware of nearby sounds and voices. These modes make it easier to shift between a quiet study session and a conversation without changing headphones.

Battery life of up to 70 hours with Bluetooth on and ANC off supports extended listening between charges. When time is short, a 5-minute recharge adds up to 3 hours of music. The foldable design makes the headphones easier to pack away, and their 232 g weight supports a lighter carry than a full-sized, non-folding alternative.

For calls, use the ear-cup controls and VoiceAware to hear yourself as you speak. Multipoint pairing is useful when you switch between a phone and another Bluetooth device, while the JBL Headphones app gives you a way to tailor the EQ and control ambient sound modes.

Before you decide

Can I adjust the sound? Yes. The JBL Headphones app offers preset EQ modes and lets you adjust the EQ curve to suit your listening preferences.

Can the headphones connect to my phone and tablet at the same time? They support multipoint pairing with two Bluetooth devices, which is handy when moving between a call on your phone and audio on a tablet.

How does the quick charge work? A 5-minute charge provides up to 3 hours of music. The stated maximum battery life is up to 70 hours with Bluetooth on and ANC off.
