JBL Tour One M3 Over-Ear Headphones with Adaptive ANC and Spatial 360

The over-ear format and Latte colour give the JBL Tour One M3 a clear place in a listening setup, whether you prefer wireless audio or a cable connection.

Its 8-mic True Adaptive Noise Cancelling 2.0 is designed to adjust to surrounding sound, while Ambient Aware and TalkThru offer ways to let more of it in.

For calls, travel and longer listening sessions, the appeal is the mix of noise control, spatial audio and a stated battery life of up to 70 hours without ANC.

Worth noting

The Tour One M3 supports Bluetooth 5.3 LE audio and can connect to two Bluetooth devices at once, which is useful when switching between a phone and another device. Auracast reception is also listed, and the JBL Headphones app provides controls for features such as Ambient Aware, TalkThru and sound customization.

There are wired options too. The included USB-C cable works with the built-in DAC for lossless audio, while the included 3.5mm cable suits a headphone jack, including an in-flight entertainment connection. These options make the headphones more versatile than a wireless-only pair, though the available connection depends on the device and the cable you choose.

The battery is rated for up to 70 hours of Bluetooth playback and calls, or 40 hours with ANC on. A five-minute charge is stated to add five hours of playback. Treat those figures as the manufacturer’s stated runtimes rather than a guarantee of the same result in every listening setup.

Buyer feedback is positive about comfort, but views on sound quality and noise cancellation are mixed. Some listeners praise the sound, while others report that its level or overall character falls short of their expectations. Noise cancellation is also not a universal win, so those priorities may deserve more weight than the feature list alone.

Size & fit

These are over-ear headphones, with listed product dimensions of 21 x 7.5 x 24.3 cm and a weight of 278 g. That form suits listeners who want ear cups around the ears rather than an in-ear design. The specifications do not give separate ear-cup measurements or fit adjustments, so the listed dimensions are more useful for understanding the product’s overall size than predicting an individual fit.

You’ll like it if you want one pair for wireless listening, wired playback and calls, with adjustable awareness of your surroundings. It might not be a great match if your decision depends on a particular sound signature or consistently strong noise cancellation, buyer impressions on both points vary.

Getting the most from it

For commuting or focused work, use ANC to reduce distracting ambient noise, then switch to Ambient Aware or TalkThru when you want to hear more around you. Smart Talk can lower playback and activate TalkThru when it detects speech, so a quick conversation does not require reaching for pause. The app lets you adjust these listening behaviours and personalize audio with Personi-Fi 3.0, a 12-band EQ and left/right balance settings.

For a flight or another wired source, the included 3.5mm cable offers a direct connection. At a desk, USB-C provides the stated DAC-based lossless option. Spatial 360 with head tracking is intended to make stereo music, films and games feel more immersive, while the four beamforming microphones target clearer calls by reducing echo and surrounding noise. These features give the Tour One M3 more to offer than a basic Bluetooth headset, but listeners seeking a simpler pair may not need the app controls or spatial processing.

Questions before you buy

Can it connect to more than one Bluetooth device? Yes. The listed Bluetooth features support pairing with up to two devices at a time and switching between them.

How does battery life change when ANC is on? The stated playback time is up to 70 hours without ANC and 40 hours with ANC enabled.

Are cables included for wired listening? The product information lists both a USB-C cable and a 3.5mm cable.

Should you buy it?

Choose the JBL Tour One M3 if you value over-ear listening with adaptive noise control, app-based sound adjustments and both wireless and wired connections. Its stated runtime and call features also suit longer work or travel days. The main decision point is whether its sound and ANC meet your preferences: buyer opinions are divided, so feature breadth alone should not settle the choice.
