JBL TUNE 770NC Wireless Over-Ear Headphones with Adaptive Noise Cancelling

Some listening moments call for fewer distractions, while others are easier when you can hear nearby voices and sounds. The JBL TUNE 770NC brings both needs together with Adaptive Noise Cancelling and Smart Ambient modes, so you can choose how much of your surroundings to hear without taking off your headphones.

For wireless listening at home, while studying or on the move, Bluetooth 5.3 and JBL Pure Bass Sound make these purple, foldable over-ear headphones a practical everyday choice. Battery life is up to 70 hours, with speed charging for added convenience.

Practical tips

Use Adaptive Noise Cancelling when you want to focus on studying or music. When you need to stay aware of your surroundings, Ambient Aware brings surrounding sounds forward, while TalkThru makes voices easier to hear. Activate these sound-control modes through the JBL Headphones app, which also lets you choose a preset EQ mode or adjust the EQ curve to suit what you’re listening to.

For calls, use the controls on the ear cup to manage sound and calls. VoiceAware lets you hear your own voice while speaking, which can make hands-free conversations feel more natural. If your priority is straightforward listening without switching between awareness modes, a simpler headphone approach may be enough, the TUNE 770NC is better suited to people who want control over both focus and awareness in one pair.

What you’ll notice day to day

The main convenience is being able to adjust your listening to the situation. Keep noise cancellation on for a focused study session, then switch to Ambient Aware or TalkThru when you want to hear more of what’s happening around you. The modes are available from the JBL Headphones app, while ear-cup buttons provide direct control of sound and calls.

You can also tailor the sound instead of relying on one fixed setting. Choose a preset EQ or shape the EQ curve in the app for your content and preferences. Bluetooth 5.3 supports wireless streaming from a smartphone, and the foldable design makes the headphones easier to put away between listening sessions. With up to 70 hours of battery life, they’re made for extended listening between charges, speed charging adds another practical option when you need power sooner.

Should you buy it?

Choose the JBL TUNE 770NC if you want over-ear headphones that can shift between focused listening and awareness of nearby sounds, rather than a pair built around only one listening style. Adaptive Noise Cancelling, Ambient Aware and TalkThru give you distinct ways to manage your surroundings, while app-based EQ, VoiceAware calls, foldable construction and long stated battery life support everyday use. They’re especially well suited to study sessions, music listening and hands-free calls when flexible sound control matters.
