Ziluce BK-XL Dog Ramp Ottoman, 17.13-Inch Foldable Wooden Steps

The essentials

Give a small dog a steadier route to the couch or bed with the Ziluce BK-XL, a wooden pet ramp that also folds into an ottoman-style footstool. Its 17.13-inch height is designed for furniture access, while a gradual, ramp-like incline and carpeted, non-slip step surfaces provide paw traction along the climb. The black finish and furniture-inspired form help it sit naturally in a living room when your pet isn’t using it.

At 11.81 inches deep by 16.53 inches wide and 17.13 inches high, the unit has a defined footprint for placing beside a sofa, low bed, or window seat. It weighs 15 pounds and is made of wood. The product is intended for small to medium dogs, and its step-style layout offers an alternative to a separate ramp when you want a pet-access aid that can also serve as a household footstool.

Usage tips

Place the steps beside the furniture your dog uses most, with the top platform aligned to the intended landing area. The carpeted surfaces are designed to provide grip, and the gradual incline gives puppies, senior dogs, and pets recovering from an injury a gentler route than jumping directly onto furniture. As with any pet access aid, let your dog approach and use it at a comfortable pace.

When the steps aren’t needed, fold the unit into its footstool form to keep the living area more organized. Buyers commonly appreciate the foldable design and furniture-like appearance, and some say their pets manage the climb easily. Opinions on step height vary, so the listed 17.13-inch overall height is a useful reference when planning where to position it.

Everyday use

For a dog that repeatedly tries to reach a favorite couch, the BK-XL creates a dedicated path instead of relying on a running start or a jump. The non-slip fabric on the steps helps support footing as your pet moves up or down, while the ramp-style slope is aimed at easier access for small dogs, older pets, and dogs with reduced mobility. It can also be used beside a low bed or window seat, giving your pet a consistent way to reach an everyday resting spot.

The two-in-one format suits homes where a standalone pet ramp would take up space when not in use. Rather than setting aside a separate piece of furniture, you can fold the steps into a footstool between climbs. This makes it a practical choice when you want pet access and a useful place to rest your feet in the same room.
