UIRWAY 488cm 500D Winter Pool Cover, 16-ft Round, Black

The 500D fabric and adjustable straps give this UIRWAY cover a more secure setup than a loose sheet that simply rests over a pool. Its 16-foot round format is intended for seasonal, temporary above-ground pools with a smooth, accessible rim.

A flat cover is useful when you want to keep dust, leaves, and sun off the pool between uses or during seasonal storage. The design relies on drawstrings and side straps rather than a rigid frame or a seal around pool fixtures.

Fit is the key decision. This model is not designed for pools surrounded by a deck or with a skimmer or other permanent fixtures that prevent the cover from sitting flush.

How it fits

The cover measures 192"L x 192"W and is described for 16-foot round pools. Its sheet-style design rests across the water and rim, with dual drawstrings at the bottom and adjustable straps on both sides to help secure it. Gel-coated, anti-slip straps are intended to hold the cover in place without added weights.

That setup is aimed at temporary above-ground pools, including snap-set and inflatable-ring styles, when the rim is smooth and accessible. It is not intended to seal around a skimmer or fit flush where a surrounding deck blocks access to the rim. If your pool has either feature, a cover designed around its fixtures and installation may be a better match than this flat-sheet approach.

What stands out

The 500D fabric, reinforced double stitching, and waterproof adhesive strips are intended to provide a sturdier cover construction. The product listing also describes UV protection, reflective strips for nighttime visibility, side handles for handling and drying, and an 18-inch increased height to help shield the pool from debris and sun exposure. These are stated design features, not a guarantee of a particular result in every setup.

Buyer feedback is generally positive about ease of installation and fit, but durability and strap performance are not consistent across reports. Some buyers describe the cover holding up in snow and heavy rain, while others report stitching problems near the buckle area. Opinions also differ on how easily the straps tighten and how well the cover resists water. That makes the attachment points worth considering alongside the fabric when choosing a seasonal cover.

It suits you if you need a removable cover for a round, temporary above-ground pool and can secure it around an unobstructed rim. It may not suit you if the pool has a deck or fixed equipment that requires a shaped or fixture-compatible cover.

Before you decide

Will it work with a pool that has a skimmer? The listed design is not made to seal around a permanently installed skimmer or other fixtures.

How is the cover secured? It uses dual bottom drawstrings and adjustable straps on both sides, the straps are described as gel-coated and anti-slip.

How should it be stored? The care instructions say to remove and clean it when necessary, then store it properly when it is not in use. Side handles are included for handling and drying.

Should you buy it?

Choose this UIRWAY cover when the pool is a 16-foot round temporary model with a smooth rim and you want a fabric cover with adjustable attachment points rather than a basic loose sheet. The material, straps, and added visibility details are relevant for seasonal coverage, while the pool’s rim layout remains decisive. For a decked pool or one with fixed equipment in the cover’s path, look for a design made specifically for that arrangement.
