TempPro TempAir PLUS TP211B Wireless Pool Thermometer, 500-Foot Range

Before heading outside for a swim, check the water temperature from indoors with the TempPro TempAir PLUS TP211B. Its floating sensor sends readings to a separate receiver, so the pool can be monitored without walking out to inspect a thermometer.

The same setup suits hot tubs, spas, cold plunges, and other water-temperature checks. A backlit display makes readings easier to see in low light, while 24-hour max/min memory helps you review the day’s temperature range.

If your priority is a remote readout rather than a thermometer that must be checked at the water’s edge, this wireless design offers a practical alternative. Its stated RF range reaches up to 500 feet.

What matters most

The TempAir PLUS TP211B is designed to measure water temperature, with stated accuracy of ±0.9°F from 32°F to 140°F. Its sensor temperature range extends from -40°F to 158°F, making it suitable for a range of water settings, from cold plunges to hot tubs. The response time is 50 seconds.

The floating sensor uses IPX8 waterproof construction and UV-resistant ABS material. It is designed for outdoor use and immersion depths up to 5 feet. For the waterproof seal, align the marks on the upper and lower sections and press them firmly together. The included rope provides a way to help keep the sensor clear of a pool skimmer.

The receiver’s large, backlit screen displays readings and stores the maximum and minimum temperatures for 24 hours. RF connectivity lets you check the measurement from indoors, with a stated range of up to 500 feet. The transmitter and receiver arrive pre-paired. Four AAA batteries are included for setup.

How it fits

Use the floating sensor in pool water when you want a remote temperature check before swimming, or place it in a hot tub, spa, cold plunge, baby bath, hot spring, pond, or aquarium. It is intended to measure water, its reading may be inaccurate when used to monitor outdoor air temperature. The separate receiver is useful when checking from inside matters more than reading a display at the water’s edge.

Buyers often highlight straightforward setup, readable numbers, and the convenience of checking pool temperature from inside. Feedback on accuracy and durability is mixed, so these impressions are best treated as individual experiences rather than a guarantee of results. The product’s stated measurement accuracy applies to its specified temperature range.

Practical tips

For a pool, spa, or plunge, let the floating sensor measure the water and read the result on the receiver. Keep the sensor away from the skimmer using the included rope, and align the housing marks before pressing the sections together to support the waterproof seal. The pre-paired receiver and transmitter make it possible to begin monitoring without pairing them yourself.

The display’s backlight is useful when checking readings in dim conditions, and the daily max/min memory gives a quick view of temperature highs and lows. You’ll appreciate it if you want to check water conditions from indoors rather than make each reading at the pool.

Is it worth it?

For pool owners and anyone managing water in a spa, hot tub, or cold plunge, the TempAir PLUS TP211B combines a floating sensor with a remote receiver, a backlit readout, and daily temperature memory. That combination makes routine checks more convenient when the water is outside and you want the reading close at hand indoors. Its specified accuracy range and water-focused design also help clarify what it is built to measure.
