Swimara SW-PCC105-Ultra Series Pool Filter Cartridges, 420 sq ft, 4-Pack
Product description
Some pool owners need cartridges for routine seasonal filtration, others contend with frequent use, heavy pollen, or fine debris. The Swimara Ultra Series is built around 5 oz/sq yd trilobal media for demanding pool conditions.
This four-pack provides 420 sq ft of total filtration area, with each cartridge measuring 105 sq ft. It fits Pentair CCP420 systems and Waterway Crystal Water 425 filters, making it a replacement choice for compatible setups.
For pool owners who prioritize heavier filtration media, the reinforced construction and cleaning guidance offer practical details for regular maintenance.
Practical tips
Before installing, match the cartridge’s 7 in. outer diameter, 26 in. length, and 3 in. open ends to your filter. The listed compatibility includes Pentair CCP420 (#160301) and Waterway Crystal Water 425 systems. It also replaces PCC105, R173576, 178584, 817-0106/817-0106B, C-7471, and FC-1977 cartridges.
For cleaning, first depressurize the system and follow the filter manual. Rinse the cartridge from top to bottom. During heavy pollen or high-use periods, inspect it more often, for Pentair CCP420 systems, clean when pressure rises about 10 PSI above the clean starting pressure. Follow the equipment manual for other systems.

Where it shines
The heavier trilobal media is intended for high-use pools and periods with elevated pollen or fine debris. Its stated particle capture down to 10 microns gives pool owners a specific filtration detail to weigh when choosing between standard seasonal maintenance needs and conditions that put more demand on a cartridge. The four-cartridge set also gives compatible pool systems a matching replacement supply.
The end caps, reinforced core, and pleat bands address the cartridge’s fit and structure: the end caps support seating, while the core supports the pleat pack and the bands help maintain even spacing. Buyers often highlight fit, installation, and replacement usefulness. Feedback on durability is mixed, with some customers reporting issues such as cracked ends, collapsed pleats, or peeling bands, so regular inspection remains part of practical pool maintenance.
Should you buy it?
It suits you if your filter is compatible with the listed systems and you want a four-pack built for high-use residential pools or demanding seasonal debris. The 5 oz/sq yd trilobal media, 420 sq ft total area, and reinforced cartridge construction make this a focused replacement for pool owners looking for heavier-duty filtration media. Match the cartridge dimensions to your filter and follow its manual for installation and cleaning.
