Product description
Settle in for a vampire story that pairs horror with comedy and rock ’n’ roll. The Lost Boys follows a single mother and her two sons after they move to the California seaside town of Santa Carla. This DVD presents the film in full-screen NTSC format, with Dolby Digital 5.1 audio and English, French, and Spanish subtitles.
Highlights
The film’s appeal comes from its mix of supernatural suspense, humor, and a young cast caught up in Santa Carla’s unsettling nightlife. That combination gives the story a different feel from a vampire movie focused on horror alone: it brings a playful edge and a rock ’n’ roll atmosphere to its dark premise. The cast includes Jason Patric, Kiefer Sutherland, Corey Haim, Corey Feldman, and Dianne Wiest, with Joel Schumacher directing.
The DVD runs 1 hour and 37 minutes, making it a straightforward choice for a movie night centered on a complete feature. Its full-screen NTSC presentation and Dolby Digital 5.1 audio identify the format and sound setup. English, French, and Spanish subtitles offer additional viewing options, while the film’s R rating helps viewers make an informed choice for their household.
Everyday use
Choose this edition for a home viewing of the film’s Santa Carla vampire story, whether the draw is its blend of comedy and horror or its rock-influenced atmosphere. People who look back fondly on the movie often value its place as an ’80s vampire classic and its nostalgic style. Reactions to the humor vary, which fits a film that combines horror and comedy rather than sticking to one tone. If you are choosing between a straight horror title and a more playful vampire story, this film’s mix of genres is its defining distinction.
