TECKNET X315 Mini Wireless Keyboard and Mouse Combo, 2.4GHz, Quiet Keys

The TECKNET X315 is a compact, 78-key wireless keyboard and mouse set designed to travel easily in a laptop bag or fit into a smaller workspace. Its mini format keeps the setup space-conscious while providing a keyboard and mouse for everyday computer tasks.

Quiet keyboard keys and silent mouse clicks help keep typing and navigation less distracting in shared offices, study areas, and home workspaces. The keyboard also has scissor-switch keys and 12 multimedia hotkeys for tasks such as controlling volume, music, email, and web browsing.

Choose this compact set when portability matters more than a full-size layout. For a fixed desk setup where a larger keyboard is the priority, a full-size combo may be a better fit, the X315 is aimed at flexible work and study spaces.

Everyday compatibility

The combo is designed for laptops, desktop PCs, and compatible home-office setups. It supports Windows, and the product information also lists Mac and Android smart TVs. The 2.4GHz receiver connects through USB-A, so it suits devices with that port, it does not use Bluetooth. On Mac, the multimedia shortcut functions are not fully supported.

A single nano receiver serves both the keyboard and mouse, helping keep the connection setup simple and reducing the number of receivers occupying a USB port. The advertised wireless range is up to 49 ft, which gives room to arrange a desk or work from a nearby seating position. Buyers often highlight the compact size, straightforward setup, and soft key feel. Feedback is more mixed on wireless connection, responsiveness, and durability, so individual experiences vary.

How to use it

Insert two AAA batteries into the keyboard and two into the mouse, then connect the nano receiver to a USB-A port on the computer. The keyboard and mouse share that receiver. When either device enters sleep mode after inactivity, press a key or click the mouse to wake it. The receiver can be stored inside the mouse battery compartment when it is not in use, which is handy when packing the set for work, classes, or travel.

The 12 multimedia hotkeys provide quick access to common controls and shortcuts during everyday computer use. Their functions are not fully compatible with Mac OS, while the regular keyboard and mouse functions are listed for Mac use. This makes the set practical for mixed work routines where compact typing and mouse navigation matter more than relying on every multimedia shortcut.

What to clarify

Does the keyboard and mouse use Bluetooth? No. They connect wirelessly through the shared 2.4GHz nano receiver, which requires a USB-A port.

How many batteries does the set need? It uses four AAA batteries in total: two for the keyboard and two for the mouse. The devices enter sleep mode when inactive and wake when a key is pressed or the mouse is clicked.

Do the multimedia hotkeys work on Mac? The keyboard and mouse are listed as compatible with Mac, but the multimedia shortcut functions are not fully compatible with Mac OS.

When it makes sense

The X315 is a useful fit for students, remote workers, and anyone moving between a desk, a shared workspace, and a laptop setup. Its compact keyboard, quiet input, shared receiver, and portable design support everyday typing and navigation without requiring a full-size keyboard footprint.
