Sketch DVD Action-Fantasy Movie for Kids & Family

For viewers seeking an action-fantasy story for a family movie night, Sketch puts a child’s imagination at the center of an adventure. What happens when drawings step off the page? A sketchbook falls into a strange pond, bringing its creations to life and sending a town into chaos. This DVD presents the film in English, with a PG rating and a 1-hour-and-32-minute runtime.

Practical tips

The DVD format suits viewers who want a physical copy of the movie for their home collection. Its English-language presentation makes the viewing choice straightforward for households looking for an English-language film, while the PG rating—Parental Guidance Suggested—gives families a helpful starting point when deciding whether to watch together. At 1 hour and 32 minutes, it offers a feature-length story for an evening at home or a family movie night.

The premise brings fantasy creatures into an everyday setting: a young girl’s sketchbook lands in a strange pond, and the drawings become real. That setup gives the film a clear hook for viewers drawn to imaginative, creature-filled stories, while the family’s efforts to reunite and stop the monsters add a family-centered thread to the action.

Why it’s worth it

Sketch combines action-fantasy with a story about a family responding to an unexpected crisis. The drawings coming to life create the source of the chaos, and the family’s task of stopping the monsters gives the adventure a shared goal rather than focusing only on the creatures. That mix can suit a movie night when viewers want imaginative fantasy with family relationships at the heart of the plot.

Customer feedback is also warm toward the movie as a family watch. Viewers describe it as enjoyable for both younger and older audiences, and one customer notes its attention to single-parenting themes. Those reactions may help shoppers looking for a story with family themes alongside its fantastical premise, rather than an adventure centered solely on action.

When it makes sense

Choose Sketch when you want a DVD featuring a fantasy adventure that also brings a family together to solve the trouble at its center. It offers a different angle from a creature story focused only on monsters: here, the creatures come from a girl’s drawings, and the family must work together to stop them. That premise makes it a fitting pick for a family movie night when imaginative action and family themes both matter. The PG rating offers a practical cue for parents considering the film for a shared viewing.
