Who it’s for
This collection suits viewers who want the entire series in a physical DVD set, as well as fans of character-driven stories that mix family conflict with dark humor. The funeral-business setting gives the show a distinctive backdrop, while its focus on a dysfunctional family keeps the story rooted in relationships and everyday tensions. The cast includes Peter Krause, Frances Conroy, Michael C. Hall, Lauren Ambrose, and Rachel Griffiths.
Compared with buying a series one season at a time, a complete-series box set keeps the viewing choice centered on the whole show. That makes this format a practical match for someone starting the series or adding the complete run to a DVD collection. Its NTSC DVD format is a useful detail when choosing a physical edition for a setup that plays that format.
Tips for day-to-day use
Treat the set as a full-series collection: keep the discs together and watch the show in sequence to follow the family’s story as it unfolds. The 24-disc count signals the scale of the collection, making it easy to distinguish from a single-season DVD release when organizing a media shelf or choosing what to watch next.
For a planned viewing session, the show’s blend of comedy and drama offers a clear sense of its tone, while the funeral-home setting shapes the situations the family faces. If you are selecting DVDs for a collection, check that NTSC is the format you want and that English is the language that suits your viewing needs.
