SHOUT! FACTORY The Secret World of Arrietty 826663271027 Steelbook Blu-ray + DVD
Product description
The limited-edition Steelbook gives this release a distinct physical presentation for fans who like to keep favorite films on disc. It includes both Blu-ray and DVD formats, along with bonus features. The story follows Arrietty, a tiny Borrower discovered by a human boy named Shawn. It runs 1 hour and 34 minutes and is rated G.
Why it makes sense
The film adapts The Borrowers as an animated adventure built around a small but vivid premise: a hidden family gathers supplies from the human world, until Arrietty’s encounter with Shawn changes how safe that world feels. That setup makes the movie an easy fit for a family movie night or for viewers who enjoy gentle fantasy centered on friendship rather than action alone.
The supplied buyer feedback often highlights the detailed animation, the emotional story, and the adaptation’s appeal to children. Family suitability is not a unanimous impression, though, so the G rating is useful context but does not tell you whether every viewer will respond to the story in the same way. It suits you if you want a self-contained animated feature with a warm, adventurous tone and physical-disc extras.
The essentials
- Format: Blu-ray + DVD
- Runtime: 1 hour and 34 minutes
- Rating: G (General Audience)
- Audio: English DTS-HD 5.1, English Dolby Digital 5.1, French Dolby Digital 5.1, Japanese DTS-HD 5.1, and Japanese Dolby Digital 5.1
- Bonus content: Feature-length storyboards, interviews with Hiromasa Yonebayashi and Hayao Miyazaki, a music video, and original theatrical trailers
The dual-format set may be a better match than a single-format edition if having both disc types matters to your collection. The movie itself is the main draw, the listed extras add a closer look at its production and promotional material rather than another feature-length film. The product details do not clearly identify subtitle languages, so a specific subtitle option cannot be confirmed from the information provided.
Usage tips
Choose this edition for its Steelbook presentation, the film, and its listed bonus material. Before buying, match the included disc format to the player you plan to use, the product information does not specify region coding or player compatibility. If subtitles are important to your viewing setup, confirm that detail separately rather than relying on the audio-track list.
