Simply S-08-06-20252 20x25x2 MERV 8 HVAC Air Filter, 6-Pack

For households and facilities looking for a nominal 20x25x2 replacement filter, this Simply six-pack is designed for HVAC systems, furnaces, air conditioners, and heat pumps. Its MERV 8 rating and pleated synthetic media target common airborne particles such as dust, pollen, and pet dander. The listed actual dimensions are 19.5 x 24.5 x 1.75 inches, so matching the filter to the space in your unit matters more than relying on the nominal size alone.

Each pack includes six filters, making it useful for keeping replacements on hand. The listing describes filtration lasting up to three months, though the appropriate replacement timing can depend on your system and conditions.

What you’ll notice day to day

The pleated media provides a surface designed to capture dust, pollen, mold, and pet dander as air moves through the filter. That makes it relevant for routine HVAC use in a home, office, school, or other listed setting where reducing these particles is a priority. MERV 8 is the stated rating, the product information does not provide a specific airflow measurement or a system-specific performance guarantee.

Buyer feedback is generally positive about dust and allergen filtration and basic function, with some also describing airflow as unobstructed. Fit feedback is mixed, however: some buyers report a good match, while others say the dimensions did not suit their setup. Check the filter slot’s required size against the listed actual dimensions before choosing this pack.

Key takeaways

The nominal size is 20x25x2, while the listed actual size is 19.5 x 24.5 x 1.75 inches. The six-count pack uses a pleated construction with electrostatically charged synthetic media, cardboard, paper, and hot-rolled steel wire mesh. It is listed for residential and commercial HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, and heat pumps.

A multipack is a practical fit for buyers who already know this size works in their system and want replacements available for future changes. If you are uncertain about fit, buying a smaller quantity first would be a more cautious approach than stocking several filters at once. The package includes six filters and an installation guide.

Best use cases

This filter is intended for routine replacement in a compatible HVAC system, furnace, air conditioner, or heat pump. For example, a household with pets could use it as a scheduled replacement while targeting pet dander and household dust. Installation instructions say to follow the airflow arrows and place it in the filter slot or return grille.

Worth considering if your system calls for the listed nominal size and you want MERV 8 filtration in a six-pack. You may want to skip it if your unit requires different dimensions or a different filter rating. Within these limits, the main decision is whether the stated actual size matches your equipment—not whether the packaging’s nominal dimensions look familiar.

Will it fit a 20x25x2 slot? The product is sold under that nominal size, but its listed actual dimensions are 19.5 x 24.5 x 1.75 inches. Compare those measurements with your unit’s requirements.

Which systems is it listed for? Furnaces, air conditioners, HVAC systems, and heat pumps are named as compatible device types.

How many filters are included, and how long is each intended to last? The pack contains six filters, and the listing says filtration can last up to three months. It does not specify a system-specific replacement schedule.

Should you buy it?

Choose this Simply filter if the actual dimensions match your filter compartment, MERV 8 suits your needs, and having six replacements together is useful. The stated applications cover several common HVAC setups, but mixed buyer feedback on fit makes the measurements the deciding detail. If your equipment calls for another size or rating, select a filter that matches those requirements instead.
